I know spectators are not allowed to camp at R.A for the July race (which to me is stupid, but that's another story).
Are the racers and crew allowed to use tents? May seem like a dumb question, but I have family coming from out of state and they're helping me out for the weekend, but I don't have enough room for them in the trailer and was wondering if anyone here has used a tent there with any issues? Thanks. :err:
ya gotta be shit'n me. No one here knows!?? I guess I'll call the track.
Since when are spectators not allowed to camp? Never seen that before...
And if you have family that's tent camping, I've seen people toss up tents in the grasy parts of the paddock (very north end) without any issues.
Are there showers at RA?

Yes, very nice, very warm, very FREE and very popular when we ran there in April!! :thumb:
Thanks Jeff. As you can see from R.A website, no spectator camping that weekend.

Just don't want to bring a tent and not be able to use it.

I think they mean way out in the carousel and places like that where people normally camp during the "big" events. I can't believe they wouldn't let your family sleep in a tent. Have you called the track?
Call the track, I think there are camping passes available. Don't quote me, as I have not slept at a Holiday Inn Express lately.
Just called and they said only camping for competitors and their families.
Thanks.
As far as spectators camping during a club round, it probably has to do with the fact that at the AMA rounds, the spectators get wicked stupid. I would imagine they would have to charge way more for us to hold an event there if it was allowed.
No doubt!
Good to know. It looks like we'll be crewing for someone that weekend. I'm sure we can come up with a few names....................................
That's only if Paul can get their new machine, jig, whatever, installed for work by Friday. (yeah, the plant's shut down, but noooooooooooooooo Paul HAS to work)
Dawn
There is tent camping at RA for crew and families, however they are charging $35 a site. Not sure if that is per tent or per pit area. When I asked they did not know an exact answer. They just stated $35 per site.
Hope that helps.
