Title: 05 GSXR 1000 - 190/55 - Gear ratio's
Post by: gixxer188 on June 25, 2007, 01:29:51 PM
Stock is 17/42 and with a 190/55 rear it's like going down 2 in the rear.  But if I change the front 17 to a 16 it's like going up 3 in the rear.
So, with that in mind would you do the following?

Blackhawk Farms - 16/43 - 2 up over stock
Road America - 16/42 - 1 up over stock

Or would you do something altogether different?  I don't need or want a wheelie machine, just something that will
get me out of the corner quick at BFR and not lose all my top end at RA.

Todd,  go up one tooth in the rear with both.
