So who's coming out?
I'll be there for all three days
I'm in. :thumb:
Jen and Erick will be there sat and sun.
we'll be up friday night, so yall have fun and be safe for the track day..
It's looking good for that weekend.
I think I'll do some prep at the cafe on Friday morning...Sneak up and make sure that we have Turn 12 secured for the weekend (no squatters allowed this weekend!)
then...maybe flag a turn on saturday...drink a few sat night...and then open the cafe bright and early sunday AM
Im kinda excited about maybe workin sat...it's been a long time since I've worn white...lol
I'm in! See you all on Friday-Sunday....
I'm DEFINITELY in for Saturday and Sunday. I am going to try to arrange with the boss to work on the 4th and then take off Friday so I can work the track day...but we'll have to see!! Can't wait! It's been too long since we've played at Summit!!!!!

now that i think about it...I can remember thinking...
"hmmm better him running all over chasing downed bikes than me..."
lol
He was the first person I worked with on a turn after my class and I remember thinking "damn he can move pretty damn quick, this sh*t is fun."
Still looking for more people to come out. Even if you've never been out you'd get OJT with an experienced corner worker, we would never just throw you out on your own.
Track days are a lot more laid back than actual races. Friday come out and play, if you really like it take the cornerworker school on Sat morning and at lunch come out and play with us again for the races. Best seats in the house people!!!
I have made my request to change my day off from the 4th to the 6th :ahhh: ! Everyone cross their fingers for me!!!!!
I'm IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My boss rocks :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: AND...he said I don't have to come in on the holiday either!!!!!!
So...for today...layoff on the "lawyer jokes" in honor of my boss!!!!
Whoooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
I get to play on Friday :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
WOO HOO
Kumi is coming out to play with us on Friday too.
just realized that I have the Shen Can(short for Cantina) open next friday....
i'll be over after i close up...
but I definately still want to flag on Saturday...
Friday should be a blast! Real laid back environment...and remember, shorts, tank tops, bikini tops, speedos....hell, half naked is even allowed!! :boink:
And Will, we get you on Saturday in a corner? Maybe we should throw you back in the CW class for a quick refresher. :lmao:
Oh, and I'll have fireworks for some evening festivities. Sara and I aren't really sure how the monsters will react to shreiks and booms, but as long as they don't pee the tent, I'm cool.
Oh yeah, speaking of tent, Hotel Astle-Perdue will be setup all weekend! We're planning on camping both Fri & Sat night.
Simon, take your ass to the firework store!
I'll be sure to bring a gallon of Capt.
As long as whoever is safety does a decent morning brief I should be fine...smirk...
I might have to bring a fresh bottle of Patron eh?

My very last Jager Bomb experience was the 4th of July weekend at Summit...2 years ago.... :ahhh: There's a good reason for that....

I have a vague recollection of that night....I think!
I seem to remember Allen wearing a shower curtain and curtain rail....could have been an apparition I guess.
LOL Simon, you should have at least a vague recollection. Somehow I was handed Jager Bombs in a seemingly never ending supply. I vaguely remember drinking half of each one and handing the other half to no other than....SIMON :lmao: :lmao:
Allen with the shower curtain....classic. :lmao:
Guess this year it's captain & tequilla...rather than Jager.
so no one wants jager and redbull? after about the 3rd one u dont need any redbull..lol
After the third one you don't need ant Jager either!
oh bully...
Quote of the evening "SIMON GET OUT OF MY TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!"

If you can guarantee that those Red Bull Girls will be the ones pouring the drinks and handing them to me I'd be in.
yeah yeah me in a shower curtain that was funny but lets not forget to mention where i got it from and who was in there when i got it... (i'm not saying names but you ALL know who you are) and chris you going to lock up your truck this year?
Cause Simon's evil twin had his greedy paws in my truck 3 gazillon times!
Good times, good times!

That person might want to remain anonymous so good call on that. Are those the pics that were floating around last year?
Back to the original topic at hand....what time do we need to be there for worker meeting on Friday???
I believe bikes are on track at 9am. I guess its Chris's call on the meeting.
So....CASTLE!!!! What's the verdict Chief??
Just a wild guess but I'd say 8:15 for the meeting. Normally on races weekends it is 7:15 flag with bikes on course at 8am. But who knows we'll wait for Chris' answer.
That's a great question. If I recall correctly, bikes were on track at 9:00. Let's plan on meeting in the cafe at 8:15. I may be talking to Rick in the next day or two, so I'll be sure to verify the schedule with him.
If anything changes, I'll post up on here either tomorrow night or first thing Thursday morning.
But if you wanted to be real safe, you could get there early and help out with equipment. We're going to have to move vehicles and also get equipment out on track. I'm going to try and get there around 6 - 6:30.
Since I'm such an "early morning person" I am sure I willl be there at the crack of dawn ::).
Kumi, all I heard was :blahblah:
And I confirmed the schedule with Rick...bikes on @ 9:00am.
Cornerworker meeting in the cafe @ 8:15. :thumb:
I will try and get there early to give you a hand with moving all the stuff over. I saw the list Terry sent out as well and that is a crap load of stuff to do. I guess with the two of us we can hopefully get it all done. As more people show up I guess we can ask them to help out as well.
I can't find the link to Terry's list. Can someone send it to me? Also, is anyone going to be there on Thursday night because we need to get the radio's turned on?
If I have to, I'll drive out Thursday evening and turn them on. 'Bout an hour each way for me. Is anyone closer?
I'm dropping off my truck and trailer Thursday evening. This time I'll have my DR650 to ride during practice.

Does this mean Kumi volunteered to make the coffee? :lmao:
I know I have probably already asked you Travis but where do you live? Maybe someone can get him a key for the radio room?
I'm in Leesburg
Sara and I are now talking about heading to the track Thursday evening and camping, but I'm not sure when they'll start letting people into the track, so it may not even be an option.
Travis, I sent you a PM. In the event we can't camp, if I got the radio room key to you, could you turn on the radios Thurs. evening when you drop off your stuff?
Mike, you still want me to bring the tent, right?
Yeah Chris, bring the tent. I want to check it out.
I'm going to go and drop my bike off tonight, so I can turn the radios on.
Thanks Simon! :thumb:
Cause the weather isn't looking too great this evening, so Sara and I won't be coming up until tomorrow morning.
No problem. Seeya in the morning.
WHOOO HOOOO!!! Less than 24 hours til bikes on course at Summit!!! :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:
See you all tomorrow :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
The next 3 days are going to be awesome. I can't believe I was able to wait this long for more racing.
