Is your dad coming to Gateway this weekend? I would like to pick his brain in regard to a project, if he is there
i met him at mid-america last year. he's cool.
Should be. I double check today though.
Thanks Becka. Tell him it's about the M16-selector I needed his help with.
I might be doing a race or two on that ugly-green bullet-holed SV sunday, not for sure yet. I'm going to see how I do on it Friday.....what is a competitive time on the SV's? I am thinking 12's ??? I dunno
depends on who you want to be competive with  Id say you will have to run an 11 maybe a 10 to win in either the am or expert ranks depending on who shows up for the expert class.

10's in amatuer on an SV? I need to take up Golf...
nah you just need to keep riding your gsxr 1000  I ran more than a couple 11's on two different occasions at gateway on taaarrraaaassshhhheed tires with big leads on both occasions, This time ive got some fairly sticky tires and we have been uping th pace all year, so I expect 10's. But im also a bullshiter, so for all I know an 11 is as fast as i can go.

Depending on who's there. I was thinking 11's or 12's. I'm a bit off that pace, not my favorite track.

I used to run 9's on my 01/600 .... so no difference in lap-times. I think I am getting older/slower every year though, to be honest. My 1K is actually giving me a harder time than my smaller bike. The throttle feels like a frickin razor-blade...very scary, the slightest throttle mistake and it's gone. My 600 was a lot more forgiving of inputs. 1K is a LOT of fun though.
I'm gonna do a race or two on Ken's SV Sunday, just for fun. I am guessing I'll run 13-14's on it. I don't wanna risk crashing someone elses bike, and his tires are shagged. There's no way I am gonna hit 12's no less 10's.
Imma call Ed Key and have him come out and whup all your asses anyway :finger:
I already begged Ed to come down. He said he is to busy to whoop our asses, its much easier to whoop the blackhawk guys asses 20 mins from his house.
