Poll
Question:
Should racers pay a membership fee for a TD immediatly before a race?
Option 1: Buy full membership
votes: 21
Option 2: Buy discount/trial membership
votes: 8
Option 3: No membership fee provided racer is registered for race
votes: 17
Option 4: Don't know, don't care...
votes: 9
No bashing please! I'm just curious what the vote is. There seems to be a lot of fighting going on and a lot of animosity that follows. Its clear that we all love being on the track on 2 wheels for whatever reasons. I'm not implying that some organizations need to change as a result of the poll, just maybe the winning vote can help creat less hostility and we can all respect each other better. :thumb:
WABBIT SEASON
Hope it doesn't blow up.
But what's a TD???

I believe he is referring to a 'Test Day'. Like Friday is 'Test and Tune' day at BFR on event weekends.
It's a NESBA track day. The timing is irrelevant.
It's their show, and their rules. You can choose to play by them, or stay home. I don't see what the big issue is.....
even team promotion has a free membership to there club.
and they require at least that before going to an event of theirs.
some other clubs offer a track day for maybe $20 more then the full member price just for the day
but charging a full year membership for one track day....
Good lord...
I like pie, pie is a much better desert than cake.

I agree, TD refers to Turbo Desert, something like strawberry rhubarb PIE.
:ahhh: BEAVER SEASON!!!!!!!!!!! :ahhh:
Jeesh just give it a fucking rest. You dont want to pay a membership to do a orgs trackday, then DONT. No ones holding a gun to your head to make you join. All bringing this back up is gonna do is cause more freaking drama.
someone say they had some pie? enough for all of us?

Pumpkin is a fall and winter pie. Triple berry pie is THE summer pie. Mmmmmmmmmm.

Not really sure what an "intelligent response" would be here, Mike :err:

I like cheesecake. It's not cheddar, and it kind of looks like pie. And it makes a great appetizer.
blackberry cobbler with ice cream of my daddy's farm in elk creek Virginia strawberry rhubarb is good too

Cheesecake is NOT PIE. Mongo may have to ban you from the BBS.
Cake is constituted by an abundance of bread rather than filling. So according to culinary standards, cheesecake really is a pie.
I'm on the fence on the whole cheesecake issue. It looks kind of like a pie and itt isn't doughy like a cake. But then again, its got cake in its name so I have difficulty agreeing that its a pie.
I hope we don't have to pay a membership fee to a TD organization ("Totally Deserts" that is) in order to resolve this issue.
Maybe somebody should start a poll here to vote if cheesecake is more a cake or a pie....
Then what about ice cream cake? It's mostly ice cream filling, not cake, but it's called a cake. Also, there's a place here in town, Simma's, that makes fan-freaking-tastic cheescake, that looks absolutely nothing like pie, and I'm pretty sure that they consider it cake, not pie. Their cheesecakes tend to have some regular cake in them as well. (Unfortunately I can only eat tiny pieces of these cakes, as even the smallest amount makes my pancreas crawl out of my navel in search of an easier job.)
But then there are those who make cheesecakes in the pie shape, and put stuff on top to disguise it as a pie... so... I... I just don't know. :wah:
I would think that anything that has the word "cake" in the title would by default be called "cake".
NOW... here's the question if you try to define it as needing a "fruit" filling.
Shepards pie?
Frito chili pie?
Cheeseburger Pie?
what about quiche?
by name its a pie... but is it really?

And lets not forget things like Spaghetti pie...
This is quite the conundrum..... :err:

In my Carroll College years I did a 4 week exchange thing in the Soviet Union. It was there that I first experienced dead horse pot PIE. Quite tasty. :ass:

Umm, nope. Eating dead horse pot pie the last thing you think of is cake, but it would certainly add a meaty twist to a new poll.
ok this is getting a little too "adult" for me... talkin about meaty horse poll's and pie and whatnot :ahhh:
you should be ashamed...

Follow that up with a big piece of cheesepie...
was that ice cream cake or cheese cake causing the pancress to hop out just like in aliens? I did have some kind of lemon cheese cake from oilive garden the other night and it looked like cake would have eaten the whole "cake" if it wasn't 6 bucks a slice

A track day has nothing to do with the races! It's not race practice. IT'S A TRACKDAY!
It's like comparing pies and cakes!
I have to go with Key Lime Pie any pie you can squeeze a lime on it just has to be good. It's kinda like Corona with a lime, the lime just makes it taste better. The nice thing about squeezing a lime on pie is it kills that fishy flavor. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
