Title: Racing at Roebling-info
Post by: HBS Racing on June 06, 2007, 09:17:04 AM
So I'm sitting here at work....bosses are all gone...and I'm having a hard time concentrating on anything besides the upcoming race at Roebling!  I've never been there before, but have watched some onboard footage from there.  Looks like a pretty fun and straight forward track.  Just fast and flowing.

Anyone have any advice or things to look for???

really a fun track..didn't make it last year but will be making the run down this time

usually a low turn out on entries - not sure why, might be location, or the "reputation" that track has for being very strict about things. I've never had a problem.

track was totally repaved - and this is the 1st CCS event on it - 2 of the riders on the Moto-ST team I work with did a Ducati Day - compared to the old surface they said it was a lot FASTER & SMOOOTH.

just hope the surface has held up to any 4 wheel action it's seen.

You're right, it is very fast and flowing, I earned my wings on Roebling before it was repaved, so I will be lost not having the huge patches in 5 to guide me.  Turn 1 is a fun double apex.  Power can be a little sketchy, and there tend to be cats on the track.  Our group from Md will be staying at the Jamison Inn near 95.  You'll have a lot of fun with the track, sorry if that doesn't help you concentrate at work, I'm at work as well, and I aint getting a whole lot accomplished.  #220.

head to the donut shop and get some energy chaplain.   i'm just kidding could not resist.  love the long straight we don't have those in fla but braking into one takes some getting used to.  head twards tybe island  the sea food is great and real reasonable  3 of us at a pile of shellfish for 50 bucks last summer  I think it was the crab shack kind of touristie but good eats.wanted to go this weekend but can't get my foot on the peg yet  can't wait for therapy.  marc
