Cornerworking through a rookie's eyes.  It's always the same.

Oh the memories.  It has been many years since I first worked corners.  I don't remember my first pickup, or my first solo run across the track.  I do remember when I realized that I was a veteran.  I was training a rookie on 3 at Blackhawk.  A few ride-offs, crashes, and a fire, she commented on how I was able to watch everything and mind the flags, radio, bike number, and workers but still keep my cool.  This article reminds me of the new workers who get excited over a little wobble.

I need to get back to the track.

I still get excited over a little wobble! :ahhh:

"I get home LATE Saturday night and tell my wife, a confessed motorcycle non-believer, about the fun things I did/saw at the track and somehow managed to get her to agree to drive up there the following morning."

I can relate.  I like that "motorcycle non-believer"  Can't expect them to understand.
