Hi all,
I am looking for the future MW potatohead. If someone you know involved in CCS (MW region) racing does something dumb (on or off the track) and you would like to expose that person's follies PM me with the details. I will file that info away for review at the end of the year and use it to pick the next taetahead.

Does choosing to work at a job that is more dangerous than roadracing get me in the running?
Still paying for going to work last November 28th.

Maybe honorable mention!!
Guy,
I spend too way much money and risk my life racing motorcycles, a sport in which I am only marginally competent. Does this count as stupid?
Just wondering...
Serously, I missed seeing all of you at BHF last weekend. I am still sorting through some issues on the Ducati and just couldn't justify making the trip for just the Thunderbike race on the F2. However, I will be at the next BHF round with everything working and ready to race!

George!! good to hear from you. Well it may be stupid, but it realy does not stand out because almost all of us are in the same boat. Missed ya out there! gonna be at the next BHF?
Guy - you seem in an awful rush to crown the next Mr or Mrs Potatohead. I guess had I gone out on the wet track with those front rotors the way they were Sunday I could have been in the running. But seriously, thank you very much for your help with that on Sunday. I also had a lot of help from Mark and his brother Dan a day before.
This from a seriously challenged wrench (I'm a chemical not mechanical engineer after all)
Yes, I will be at BHF on June 9 and 10.
I will stop over and say hello.
George

No I am not really in a rush, but I do want to make an informed choice. I have heard of a few unreported offences.
One year a person who will remain nameless had a bike that stopped running. The individual immediately began dismantling the engine. I think he got the valve cover off and was preparing to remove the cylinder heads when the original owner got wind of what was going on, and asked did you check to see if you had gas in the tank?
No problem, I like helping others as long as there is time to do it right.

Oh, I wonder who that might've been? LOL
OK, how stupid is this? I missed the first race at blackhawk in many, many years this year............ to stay home and do yard work. Now that should get me to the head of the list real quick!!

Didn't I read about that in a book somewhere?

Hhhhummmm, list of things to do:
1) write something stupid.
2) post it
3) wait for someone to point out your stupidity.
4) proof read the crap you wrote.
5) put self on potatohead list.
Ahhhhh...stupid writing would get you a list a mile long. The deed must be exceptional. Something like coming to the track to race and forgetting to load your bike.
No, no one has done it that I know of, but they could, and it would be classic.

Were it that simple I would be a shoo-in Alexa. Some weekends I not sure how I remember to bring myself, I don't think I have EVER managed to get to the track with everything I was
supposed to bring let alone all the stuff I
meant to bring.
Went to a race at Moroso forgot my helmet gloves ,boots and back brace .When I realized it it was 4.30 on sat.[i was just going to show up and run a money saver weekend lol]raced down the turnpiketo the closest squid store spent all my tire money on stuff I already had they were amazed we were racing and treated me like Kenny Roberts. thanks Cycle Gear. does that count.

No one has ever reawarded the Potato Head to himself at the end of the year. THAT would take a TRULY EPIC boo boo, like say, accidentally backing over your glorious mentor's A Superbike with your truck and reducing it to dust....

Oh man, thinking about things like that could be like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Don't want to go there; don't want to go there....
no but I but I loaded the A bike in the trailer with out it hitched and chocked. rolled forwad dented tailgate felloff ramp crushed front pipe on my 54mm system then had to wait for evertbody to run over and pick it up I hate crying in front of grown men.
HAH! My buddy did that to my truck. He managed to hang onto his bike though. I had to look at that dent for years....

Yes...I think I read that somewhere too. I'm not sure, but I may know the author, and the alleged racer who did that.
