Title: New timing software?
Post by: Ridgeway on May 14, 2007, 02:03:23 PM
Anyone else notice the new timing sheet printouts at BHF on Sunday?

I like the summary sheet that lists all the riders' best lap for the session.  The full-list printout is ok, but it takes some time to pick through the list to find your laps vs. the old list that listed each rider's laps together.

Was there a software change?  And if so, does this mean we might have on-line lap times this year?

There was a little more than a "glitch" in the system on Saturday, and I believe a chip actually fried. How did it get resolved?

I believe Eric Kelcher flew in a new chip from Fort Worth. No, he didn't send it to BFR but I think he actually got on a plane with it. The details of the programming on the chip are privvy to Eric.

  Pretty good service, eh?    :thumb:

I heard you can get a copy of those sheets or a list of your times.  Is it possible to do that after the fact?  I didn't know that till I got home.  I'd be curious to see how I was running.

I'm pretty sure they just changed the format of the output.

I'm currently working on getting these times up on the web and providing CCS with the means to easily do that.

You can look here http://laptimes.dorightsoftware.com/scripts to see some from Heartland Park.

If I can get the times from BHF for this weekend, I'll get them on the site ASAP.

Hey Scott-are you going to do the times for the rest of the races from HPT??

So far, that's all I received from CCS.  Except for the practice times.  If I get more, I'll get them up there.  I did update some more last night while fixing the bug I had.  I didn't see any heavyweight or middleweight stuff though.

My goal is to eventually (hopefully rather soon) just have someone at the track get these up there as soon as they can.

They could always just go to AMB transponders like the rest of the sane world... no need to reinvent the wheel... And a majority of CCS racers already race with WERA and own them...  Just my $.02
