Title: Bought T2 Tire Warmers...Action Pics
Post by: PolishPete on May 03, 2007, 10:50:37 PM
I bought a couple of these and Dave worked through some crazy paypal problems I was having and shipped them out pretty quick.  Here they are in action.  They'll see the track for the first time at Putnam this Sunday.  I'll let you guys know what I think of them then.  They do seem like good build and worth the money so far.

Oh by the way, check out the R6 headlight conversion mod.  Not really a good pic of them, bad lighting, but I spent about 40 hrs with a friend over 1.5 weeks taking them from an 03-05 R6 headlight and putting them into mine, with HID's.  What do you guys think.

In the interest of equal time, I got an email from Pete this AM saying that he's having a problem with one of the warmers. Pete, please feel free to post up your feelings on that, and any thoughts or feedback re: how your issue is baing handled.

Thanks, and sorry you had difficulty.

I picked up some T2s a few weeks ago. They are awesome! My chickenhawks have stayed in the box since!

Also, friend of mine picked some up and had an issue with a rear warmer.......stickboy swapped it out at the track, no questions asked!

I picked up a set and finally had a chance to run them for at an STT weekend.
No issues at all.
They rolled right over the Pilot Race 180s just fine.
I had people asking me price and what the funny box with the buttons was all about. Then when I told them, they impressed with the price and that they were adjustable.

I used the warmers for 6 sessions at Putnam during a NESBA track day, but when I returned to the pits after the 6th session, the rear warmer wouldn't turn on.  We tried what we could, but nothing would get it to come on.  I also tested it when I got home, and still nothing.  I email Dave about it, and he responded same day asking me to ship it back to him.  I did, he sent a replacement, and refunded shipping cost too.  Not bad service I must say.  Thanks!!

Those look like the powerstands warmers that have been "re-tagged".  Question, does it default to temperature in Celsius?  The powerstands warmers my friend had did.  Just curious.

Hello.  Yes it does (temp in C).  I had a guy come up to me at Putnam...and he had the same ones, but without the T2 logos.  He said they were identical, except with the T2 logos, there is a C - F chart printed on them for convenience and he said he carried a chart with him.  Not sure what brand they were.
