Post by: Eric Kelcher on April 30, 2007, 10:58:21 PM
Well don't have all the details yet but they finally released some information I hope to have all the details in the office on classes and such later this week; I believe they will be the same classes as years' past.

Hey, Eric, what does CCS have to do to get some respect from Suzuki?  You've got 40+ events and you get ten contingency dates.  Other organizations have five events and they get three contingency dates.

Ya we are aware and have been working on that. There is actually 72 CCS/ASRA events and 14 paying dates regionally and then 8 national dates so 22 total.

But as they cut back and some clubs recieved no regional dates we do feel grateful with the changes that Suzuki has gone through in receiving contingency for 07.

We've got the same issues with the number of events and the number of dates.  Don't see anything changing anytime soon but when they get back to that point I plan on talking to them about it too.  No offense to the smaller clubs but the two national orgs are getting a little screwed.

How about not combining the CCS dates with the ASRA dates.   There are only 2 CCS regional dates not combined.
Sure its a great thing if you race Suzuki's and follow the ASRA series, it's like having two weekends in one.
But the CCS regional racers are getting screwed.

At least with Wera they get 10 regional dates and separate National Challenge dates.

+1 on that one.  It might help the regional turnouts as well.
