Title: Question about MAM
Post by: Team_Serpent on April 19, 2007, 02:27:09 PM
I overheard a conversation about the surface condition at MAM.  Someone said the SCCA cars had torn it up so bad it was almost un-rideable.

When we were there last year I thought the surface was pretty damn smooth except for a small pot hole exiting T4 (which was avoidable with the right line).

Anybody been there lately and know the condition?

I hope it's still decent, I really like that track.

Damn it Greg... missed you by a week.  You going to be at RA on July 5th?

Just got back a few hours ago.  The surface was actually pretty good,  the braking zone into T1 is still a little ripply on the far left side but not bad by any means.  The dip out of 4 is still there.  Pretty much the same as early last year.

Good meeting you Rob, see around this year.

Did you ride sunday as well?  I was going to go up but 90% chance of severe thunderstorms is a bit much for me lol!

Nope,  T-storms hit right after the riders meeting and they closed the track for about an hour and a half, then opened it back up after it quit raining (for a little while) a maybe 4-5 guys went out.  But after looking at the radar on my phone and seeing another larger storm coming soon I decided to pack it up about 11:30 and get on the road for my 7 hour drive home.
