I'd go to http://www.motovid.com and contact Mike there.  The site hasn't been updated for a while, but he does a lot of on bike stuff and is really up on the new stuff.  Cameras, formats, etc.

I just bought a used Canon mini DV off ebay for 100 bucks.  Make sure you get one that can handle external audio/video (ZR20 to ZR50's) and for convenience, they have a LANC port (to enable remote control).

Used camera 100
bullet camera 40 (mount anywhere on the bike)
Remote mic    12
Lanc cable     30 (not required, but nice to have)

http://www.mountaingear.com/pages/product/Search_Results_Endeca_New.asp?N=0&PrevN=4294967227&Nu=p_rollup&Ntk=s_search&Ntx=mode%2Bmatchallpartial&Nty=1&PrevNtt=&Ntt=atc+2000
thats what I got, runs off aa batteries and vid stores on a 2 gig sd card.  2gigs on the highest setting will record for an hour.  easy transfers on to a computer with the sd card :boink:

For $170, who fricken cares? That's why I went w the ATC2K. Descent video at a descent price. Perfect amount of record time for the track too.
