Title: Yahooo! Back in the Saddle!
Post by: chaplain220 on April 04, 2007, 09:29:27 PM
Painful yes, but to throw a leg over the ol racebike, after legs were pulled out of hips, and place two recently broken arms from Daytona March 2nd, on throttle and clutch...priceless! 8)  And just in time for Carolina.  I took the bike out for the first time just about a week ago, and a bunch of the local boyz came together to rebuild the bike when my arms were just dead weight.  The part that hurt the worst, was all the folks that seemed to be waiting for me to get creamed just so they could fire off a told ya so, and, the ever popular...was it worth it?  I was even accused of being a bad father! :err: But to answer their question, yeah, it really was worth it.  I'd rather live the life God has given me for a season with bros like all of you, than sit on my butt for 80 years with the 401k club.  See ya soon, and thanks for the encouragement, Art.

When we were leaving you and your friend drove by. I did not know anything had happened until I got home and read the news. Glad to hear you are doing good. Now you have a story to share with the rest of us. Although get ran over by a semi is pretty good too. I will neeed to get Michel P out to play someday too. It was great to have meet you. Good Luck
