Title: Case Guard Rule Change?
Post by: Bob750 on February 19, 2007, 11:39:29 AM
Hi,

I was browsing through the 2007 rulebook and tripped over a change in 5.2.22 A. regarding case covers.  In 2007 part A. states "Case guard or reinforced cover required on the left side only for Yamaha YFZ-R1 and 2000 and prior model Suzuki GSXR's..."

In 2006 the same section read "...2000 and newer model Suzuki GSXR's..."

It seems like a trivial thing but in my mind, prior and newer go in different directions.  Am I just reading this wrong or did something change?

Thanks,
Bob

Bob,

call the office and have Eric or Kevin clarify.  Seems like a typo to me, but I'm not the rule guy...

Thanks for the reply Jeff.  I will give that a shot.

they usualy go with "if it is covered by body work, you do not need an aftermarket cover"
