Nah, that would be too easy. Honda's and Suzuki's. But I gave up the 1000 for 600's.

QuoteBring it Rob-the skinny people will conquer!!

I'm gonna use bunjee cords and duct tape to get Becka into my leathers... let her ride my 6.  You think skinny people will conquer, imagine someone half YOUR size on an R6!!   :ahhh:

I'm bout halfway through my offseason "supersport build" alternative... I'm down 15lbs in just over a month, shooting for 30lbs by HPT, 40lbs by June!  thats GOTTA be worth 5-6hp right there!!   :boink:

maybe the "skinny-ER" people will concur!

Kurt you started workin out too right?  hows that goin?

Yamaha paying top ten for 2007.
It is only 10 events for all of CCS though and 10 events for all of WERA. And the odd part is they only pay top 3 for ASRA and WERA Nationals which are a lot togher than the regionals.

Hey man, don't screw up my master plan. Let these fools buy Yamaha's. It will keep Honda and Suzuki money for easy pickings.

it's great because it gives more people a chance at some money, but the opportunities aren't all that big...  Buell on the other hand... woof...  now THAT's a contingency plan.

Yeah, Buell practically pays you to ride their stuff.  At least Yamaha is getting better!  Suzuki still seems to be the best of the 'big 4', but you see a ton more Yamaha's out there these days so its nice to see them putting some money back into the sport.

Tim-that is awesome that you are losing so much weight!  You will look like me come April lol!  Deuser is practically killing himself trying to get in shape right now haha!

Yeah its amazing what diet and excecise will do...  :ahhh:

Have JD give me a shout, this plan I am on isnt a gimmick and its by FAR the easiest transition in lifestyle I've ever had.  I'm sure the weight loss will taper a bit, but its FALLING off now.

Rob,

There's a little bit of truth to what you say, but either way, I know there will be some good, close, safe racing and I can't wait.

Tim,

Not for sure if it's true, but 7lbs is supposed to equal 1 hp...  No, I haven't been working out at all.  This is the busy season for me at work.  It sucks now, but ends up working out since the summer is our slow time.  Congrats on your accomplishments.  I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised at how much a difference being in shape makes.  Were heading down to Oak Hill in Texas next week to blow out the cobwebs.  We'll see how it goes.

Kurt, let me know how it goes. I'm definitely looking forward to the season. It will be wierd being back on 600's again but that is where the real competition is.

About Buells...You can post all the money you want if you never have to pay half of it out.

pretty basic... burn more than you intake.  know what your eating.

Lots of whole grains, protien, veggies, fruits etc... I eat 5-6 times a day, and am never really hungry.

typical day for me is:

6:30am hit the gym, after a 5 minute walk on the tread mill to get the blood pumping I knock out 25 minutes of pretty intense cardio.  Its an eliptical machine with incline and resistance that absolutely kicks my ass.  Whats nice is after 10 mins or so I get the same burn in my arms and legs as I do racing.  the hand bars are looped back and almost identicle to clip ons in angle... pretty cool actually!  I am starting to go through tracks menatally in my head as I do the workout, figure it'll keep my mind sharp.  I burn 500 calories in 25 minutes.  ANYway, after that I sit on a bike for 10 mins and spin, just kind of a cool down.  Next I lift for 30-45 mins.  Core everyday with focus on various muscle groups from day to day (inserting anchorman qoute) "tuesdays is Arms and Back"...

8ish, I knock down a protien shake (procomplex augmented protien blend...rocky road mmmmmmmmm) and a banana or apple.  Multivitamin, and Super Reds (kinda like juice plus)

11am have a sandwhich (turkey or chicken on whole wheat or Thomas Whole wheat Light english muffin) then maybe some nonfat yogurt or cottage cheese

2pm the same, or maybe a can of tuna in some easymac, sometimes 4-5 eggs (one yolk the rest just the whites) with a side of whole wheat toast.

5pm dinner, if the store has some decent fish (yellowfin tuna, talapia etc) I try to do that.  If not whole wheat noodle spaghetti with steamed burger or turkey burger, steamed veggies etc.  I like to cook so its easy.  Baked or grilled chicken and some acorn squash... I could go on but you get the idea.

8pm another Protien shake, usually in bed and asleep by 9-930

These are just some of the things I like to eat.  Basically no more than 10g of fat per meal.  I shoot for 150-200 grams of protien a day.  absolutely NO white flour, mind the sugars... and I actually read the labels.  I Try not to drink any calories (excluding protien shakes), LOTS of water!  Peanut butter on an apple is one of my favorite snacks if the cottage cheese or yogurt gets old.  3-400 calories per meal.

I cheat on sundays, not too bad but a pizza guy tends to show up from time to time.  I also dont work out on sundays.  every other week I only go 5 days to the gym instead of 6.

I also quit smoking, and SERIOUSLY cut back on the drinking... started at 240... am down to 226 as of this morning!  I am REALLY looking forward to the season and seeing how the bike feels without toting around a "becka".  Not to mention just the overall feeling good!

Sort of like Honda offering $50,000 contingency to win an AMA supercross or MX, like any privateer will ever do that now. Actually most of the classes that Buell pays in , they are very competitive as long as you can keep them  running.

If you were drinking a lot, cutting back is an immediate improvement...  Going from sucking down a 12'er a night to NOTHING had great affects on me after my gall bladder sorted itself out.

Saved money, lost weight, felt better...  Took almost a year to be able to eat normally though as my gall bladder was so out of whack that I would become violently ill at just about anything I ate.

whoever thought quitting drinking could be dangerous?!?!

I didnt drink everyday, just drank ALOT on the weekends.  Start at happy hour on fridays, or at the house before going out with the wife and friends, end up at the casino... a little over a drink an hour plus shots isnt hard to get up to 12-15 drink in a night.  Repeat on saturday, and then sunday if the Rams where in town... Now its rare if I have more than 3 drinks total a week, and i get to drive my own car home instead of having a DD tag along or taking a cab.

BIG TIME money saver... combine that with buying all my food from the grocery store instead of fast food and it can almost pay for a set of tires and 5 gallons of VP a month!   :boink:
