Ok, Hawk has issued a challenge, wanting to put THE coveted Potato Head logo on Guys leathers.
Quote from: Hawk on January 24, 2007, 11:56:06 AM
Alright Alexa,
What's it going to cost?
He's throwing in $20 and we need at least $100 to the Red Flag Fund to put the logo on Guys leathers.
Quote from: Hawk on January 24, 2007, 12:30:36 PM
Alright, I've got the first $20, who's in?
Guy I'm glad you've got such a good sense of humor, you just put $100 in the Red Flag Fund coffers. Even so I'm sure I've just moved to the front of the short list of next years pontential recipients of your coveted award. :thumb:
Let's see if we can bring it over $100.
**you can Paypal your donation to paypal@redflagfund.org, make sure you put "Potato Head" in the notes.
**Go to www.redflagfund.org (http://www.redflagfund.org) for other payment options.
I'll update as soon as we reach $100 in
paid donations.
Thanks everyone!

I could totally make that costume. The foam for the head is pretty squishy, so you should really still wear a helmet underneath. (I only rode in that costume once, for TV, unfortunately it got edited out) It's also kinda hard to see... but you can still drink a beer without taking the head off, and that's the most important part.
$20 sent. This better be GOOD. No wimpy shiznit! How about Mr Potato Head upside down and screaming?
Alright....
I got the last $15.00. Please post pictures as I don't know when we'll be back.
Dawn :thumb:
Come on guys and gals, Guy has really stepped up to the plate here. All donations are goign to go the the Red Flag Fund. If Guy can wear Mr Potato Head his leathers all next year then let's make it worth his while. A few bucks from everybody and the Red Flag Fund could get a really nice donation out of this. :preachon:
I'm in for another $10.
Way to go Guy. :thumb:

As of this post, we've exceed the $100 mark thanks to:
Don Cook
Guy Bartz
K3 Chris Onwiler
Dawn & Paul Buxton
Paul Onley
Ed Key left me a message so he wanted to donate to the fund as well...
Just got off the phone with Ed and we're well +$100, close to $150...
Bartz, the people love ya!!!

Well, maybe, in a humiliating sort of way. This is still WAAAAYYYY better than not being loved at all. and after all, it is all for a good cause!!
I think that all of the people that were willing to post on the original "How long should Barb harass Guy for smacking up her car" thread should feel obligated to make a donation. So come on all of you trash talking cheap skates PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS and make a contribution to the Red Flag Fund. It is there to help others (god forbid)
I will bet you never thought the Red Flag Fund would auction off something like this

You will have make the costume, start another Red Flag donation post, make some special arrangement with CCS for a parade lap, and I'll do it. Hold out for more than $100.00

Well, considering that folks PAID the Wegman Fund to see grown men take their clothes off to wear lingerie and beanies, :ahhh: this is actually pretty tame. :sleeping2:
The cool thing? We can actually post work safe photos of the whole thing. :ass:
And thanks everyone. 'Mr Potato Head, The Logo' will debut at Guys first race weekend!

I am in for $20.00 as well. I will paypal it to you Jeff
But...
I'll double that if it's a pic of Mr. Potatohead driving a Saturn!
I love it when a plan comes together.
You're a good sport, Guy. :thumb:
This is such a proud moment! Guy, if ever you need to borrow the car, don't hesitate to ask. In fact, maybe Ed could give you an extra key to the car.
edgar, make sure you paypal to the fund - paypal@redflagfund.org not to me directly...
Thanks!

Would this be the first time a car has been donated (sacrificed) to the fund?
I did. I got a reply from Jen (I believe) this morning.

Barb,
I am beginning to think that you could be trying to get the rest of the parts replaced on your car LOL
Key's keys are bad juju
Guy, shall we remove the patch at the end of the season and pass it on to the next recipient?

He keeps on offering his keys to me. I slowly back away from the keys. He seems convinced that it is not likely for the same thing to happen twice. I have heard of a fella being stuck by lightening 7 times. I'll say it again. Bad JuJu

Guy, that should be your new theme song! I think I will have Grant sing that each time he's about to interview you.
You people all realize that this all just a very elaborate scheme of Guys to make sure that he never has to drive himself anywhere. Now all he has to do is ask to borrow your car and you will gladly offer to drive him where ever he needs to go.
Very smart Guy.
