Just for bragging rights, do any of you CCS historians know if anybody over the age of 61 has ever won a regoinal championship? I asked CCS in Ft. Worth but they don't have anyway of checking.

Ed Key has to be AT LEAST 65! :ass: :lmao:

I think he sure feels like it sometimes...
I have a friend here in Kansas City, Norbert Nickel, who is 72 (I think). Norbert has a number of AHRMA championships, including one in 2006. My endurance partner, Steve Davis, is 59 and runs very competitive times. He had a heart attack at Heartland Park in 1996 and bypass surgery last year!
As I enter my mid-fifties these friends and riders give me hope.
Ed Key is like Yoda... nobody really knows how old he is, and when need be, he'll whip your ass!
Yeah, Norbert it still pretty fast.
I was with him at Talladega in 1996 when he had a heart attck. Great place to have one since racers seem to watch out for each other and then you've got med transport and folks there.
