Title: Len Bacon, Lifetime MARRC Member, passed away December 3, 2006

With deepest regrets and sympathy, I wish to inform you of the passing of Leonard A. Bacon, father of our friend and brother Roger A. Bacon.

Len peacefully passed away in his sleep on the morning of Sunday December 3rd. 2006.

The Bacon Family asks that you join them in a celebration of the life of Leonard.

Funeral arrangements are as follows:

Viewing will be on Sunday December 10 from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM at:

    Demaine Funeral Home
    5308 Backlick Rd.
    Springfield, Va. 22151
703-941-9428 (Ask for the Springfield location)

Memorial Service will be on Monday December 11 at the Demaine Funeral Home Chapel.

Internment to follow at the Quantico National  Cemetary at 2 P M.

Len was a member of the Franconia Volunteer Fire Department.

Len was preceeded by his wife of 53 years, Dot Bacon, who passed away on March 21, 2002.

He was a charter member of the Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Club (membership # 88) and was awarded life membership along with his wife Dot on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary in 1999.

Len will be remembered by all who's lives he touched.

He was a friend to all.

He will be missed.

Last time I met any of the Bacon Brothers was at my first National event at VIR about 5 years or so ago. I learned a lot  from them after all I was a newbie cornerworker at the time. My prayers to the family. Rest in Peace.
