Title: Thunderbike Dyno
Post by: Fast4fun on November 22, 2006, 08:35:35 PM
I had my bike dyno'd this summer at an ASRA event and the guy working the machine mentioned that the numbers were SAE vs what a dynojet dyno would say. At least that is how I undestood what he told me. What's the difference? Are the dyno numbers for ASRA unadjusted?

The official dyno of ASRA is now Factory Pro.  Their numbers are pretty repeatable and acurate representations of SAE numbers.  Dynojet numbers are developed through an equation.  Usually, a Dynojet dyno number is 13% more than the SAE number.  There can be variation between Dynojet dynos also.
