2 things that would help. 1. grid by points, good for racers because the ones at the front have earned it. Good for ccs because it will force racers to enter if they want points to get up in the front. 2. go back to the structure like last year for payment. Some racers can not tell if they will be there 2 weeks in advance to get the discount rate. This is club racing not AMA. I had 4 weekends this year that I would have raced if I could have showed up and payed the same entry fee as paying 2 weeks in advance. That's about $1000 I refused to give an organization that will penalize racers for not pre entering. Your loss I just went fishing. :thumb: Just a hunch, I think there might be other guys that have not raced because of that.
+1 for grids!
-1 For fishing...
ha ha...
im new to this but so many people if not every one talks about wanting to grid by points its not about bringing the idea up its about some one actually doing something about it. every one wants it no one wants to do the work!
I think a lot of people miss one thing about the gridding issue... money. Why is pre entering so encouraged? Well, one reason is so that CCS will have working capital now vs. at the event. If you grid by points what is the incentive to pay way ahead? It's for this reason that I don't think we'll ever see gridding by points. I've owned a business so I can understand needing to get the finances straight way ahead of time.
I think there's one way to have a win-win situation: Grid by points, but only if you pre enter by a certain date... say 3-4 weeks ahead. You will then qualify to be gridded by your points standing at the time of the event in question. The riders who miss the cut off date are gridded behind those gridded by points in a traditional first come, first serve fashion.
What if you grid pre entries by points, and post entries by entry
