Title: spidi slider race?
Post by: germ215 on January 24, 2003, 07:08:39 AM
Does anyone know how to distinguish a slider race(kangaroo) from a slider pro(cow)? I bought a set off of Ebay, and the guy claims them to be the race. I am unsure! There are no tags that state any info! ??? ??? Does anybody have a slider suit of any kind? Has anyone crashed one and how did it hold up? ??? ???

Sneak up on it at night and tip it over.  If it moos, you have the cow version.  These are the things you learn growing up in rural farm country.

the spidi slider race suit is in fact....COW HIDE
bovine leather to be exact...

this description straight from our frenz @ lockhart phillips

although the 1.2mm thickness is a little thin...
most suits are 1.4 - 1.9 mm

but i dont think you can really tell....unless of course
you slide the entire turn 12 @ road atlanta at full song!!!!!     ouch :-[

hope this helps ;D

Diver - that was too funny.  I laughed so hard out loud at that one; my daughter asked what was so funny.

Germ:

What I would to is go to www.google.com and enter in Spidi Slider Suit.  That will bring up sights that carry them and many times (unless it is a custom suit) the different suits will have a different patterns.  You may be able to tell that way.

The older slider race/pro were different and I believe the one with the hump was the kangaroo skinned one.  Now the cow one has the hump so ifit's more than a year old with a hump it's kangaroo.
