Title: Leather stuff in general
Post by: spyderchick on April 02, 2002, 10:07:44 PM
Hey Everyone,
Many of you know me as the leather repair person in the Midwest region. I'm trying to keep a running log about saftey concerns regarding all brands of leathers, as well as general info(fit, cost vs. value, etc.). If you could let me know your impressions about your gear, it will help me give racers feedback in the future about what brand they might consider when needing new gear. (I get asked this alot) I do not manufacture leathers, I only repair (hopefully you won't need me), alter and add lettering. If you have any general questions, feel free to contact me. Keep the shiny side up!

I have a set of Barnacle Bill leathers.  They are awesome.  After three crashes, I haven't had any problems with them.  After my big crash at Road America, some of the stiches in the seam on the outside of the leg were broken (he uses double seams), so I had him repair them.

They have worked excellent.  A lot better than the AGVs that I had before that were falling apart on me.
His stuff is awesome, and he really cares about keeping people safe.
