Title: Buell Team
Post by: andy908hamblin on October 09, 2006, 06:14:41 PM
Is there any Buell team in need of a rider for the 8 hour event coming up?

John Costa and I are looking for a Buell motorcycle with rider. If you are a buell racer with a bike, we are a great team to get with. I have extra wheels and will help out with costs.

The team is complete John Costa, Chris Young and myself. Just hope we can register tomorrow.

I spoke to John earlier and he said he was in. Podium here we come.

I'm almost positive that registration closed today at 5.  UNLESS one of you three had entered already....   check moto-st.com for more info if ya want...

We haven't entered yet, but i will see what strings I can pull. Last Minute Racing sounds like a good name, but I think I have found someone to back us so we will see what happens.

Andy are you telling me that Costa is making his returning debut at Daytona this year?  :thumb:

His return is up in the air. Last I knew he was going to buy his Buell from West Palm HD, but he is trying to get it at the right price. As for Daytona, I think John will only be running in the Moto-ST event with Last Minute Racing.

Andy, Brandon here,  Good luck getting it all together.  I was hoping to see some Buells out there.  See you there.

Thanks Brandon, Our entry is in so we will be there. Our plan is conservative riding. Halfway through the race we may let the bike cool down. We will see how it goes. Thanks again for the support. :thumb:

Hey Andy,

Are you in for sure? If so, that's great. I know registration was supposed to close yesterday. Looks like two Ducati teams snuck in under the wire at the last minute too.

Game on!

PJ,  we formed the team yesterday night and I got on it this morning. Luckily we were able to get the entry in. This year we should be able to work together with drafts on Sunday

PJ, are you guys gonna run the RR?

Andy: Excellent news. We're going to have a good time racing and drafting together. The class looks pretty competitive now...

Sting56: I wish we had an XBRR. No, we just freshened up one of my XBs. Same bike we won two GTL Team Challenge events with earlier this season.

Very competitive,  the only disadvantage going to Daytona is both bankings. I dont have the HP to match Estok or Bilansky or the weight to match Key. As you know PJ I updated my suspension, but thats not going to show on the banking. Though I have full confidence and plan to put forth my best effort with what I have.

Last years Daytona was a disaster with not even finishing any race I entered. Thats ok though, I have dealt with enough disapointments. I have learned of ways to not get discouraged so I am headstrong and ready for whatever this year will bring.
