I just bought a second gen SV and I need a spare set of wheels. Anybody know what is compatible? Can I use first gen wheels?

I do not know about the rear, but not on the front. Second gen rotors are flat, first gen has a dished rotor carrier. Although I have not actually measured it, I would assume that the hub portion of the front wheel is wider on a second gen than the first gen.
If you are going to gingermann you can try to put my spare rear on you bike. I have a second gen cush drive that I use on the first gen rear with no problems.
Thanks Guy,
We had a guy pitted next to us at Blackhawk last weekend on a second gen and he stripped a rear axle nut. We didn't have a spare but offered to let him take one from Johnny's rain bike (first gen) and it was smaller than the second gen so I think the second gen has a bigger rear axle and thus different bearings. I'll stop by at Gingerman and confirm this. :thumb: I guess I'm looking for a second gen set of wheels then, nothing like limiting your options. :banghead:
I have a spare rear off of my '03, got it used when I bought the bike, has a small dent on the edge but does hold the bead and air. Would likely want 150.00 plus shipping. Or if we can find someone from STL going to Gingerman they could bring it to you. I can't make it. I will be at MAM for the TrackAddix Cycle Shootout in October.
314-757-0364 if you have any questions.
Going to Gingerman from Salem, Il (45-50 minutes out of STL)...if you can get here...will be glad to deliver it...

Would that include a rotor and cushdrive rubbers?
Will have to check, I believe it has a rotor. Will go over the storage unit today and check. Not sure about the cush drive, I have a spare but its from a 1st gen.
If the cush drive I have will work just add 25 bucks to the total.
I don't think the cushdrive itself will work, I think the axles are different 1st to 2nd gen, I just wondered if the rubbers are in the wheel.
