Title: Race transporter stolen in Las Vegas, very recognizable, HUGE LOSS for 4 racers
Post by: peanutbritt on September 19, 2006, 02:53:08 PM
Bruce Lind's Van and trailer were stolen last night in Las Vegas. 4 racers and all their gear, bikes, tools, everything were taken.

The Bruce Lind Racing 2001 Ford extended 15 passenger window van and 20 ft box trailer were stollen from the security lot of the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas last night.

The Van and trailer are White. The trailer has Bruce Lind Racing stickers all over it.  They have Washington Plates:

Van 278SHV
Trailer 9192LN

Inside the trailer are 6 bikes:
2004 TZ250
2000 TZ250
2000 TZ250
1998 TZ125
2000 RS250
2001 Aprilia RSR125
And all the spares and equipment.

The van looks new, the trailer is old and needs a wash. It has a line drawing of a race bike with # 78 and lots of race stickers. Please be on the look out for it.

Our friend Nobi Iso basically just had everything in the world that he
owns stolen out from under him.  Everything.  Contact info in this article:

Hot tip, don't take race trailers to vegas and park in casino lots.  This is like the 4th one this year that has been nicked from a vegas casino lot...  But if you roll an old lady for a bucket of nickels in that same lot, your face will be all over the evening news...

Yes it's a shame. Hope the whole rig is recovered.

FYI, from industry peeps, there are theft rings looking for rigs used for racing and commercial purposes that are stolen regularly and often. They are then sent down to Mexico for quick sale. Unfortunely, if they're not recovered inside of 48 hours (probably less for the Vegas area), they will not be, and you will have to deal with insurance to recover whatever they deem "appropriate", which means a loss in most cases.

Shitty to hear, but thats why I skipped both my Vegas races this season, in fear of theft! I hope those basterds die agonizing deaths!  :finger:

Sounds like it calls for snipers on roof tops in Vegas casino parking lots. See someone trying to heist a vehicle....pop his ass. :spank:

Van and trailer reportedly sighted:
Seen on I-215 headed west bound between Stephanie exit & Green Valley Casino (that is west of Henderson, NV, southwest of main LV) around noon either on Wed, Thur, or Fri of last week.

May be headed to be abandoned on a desert road, OR may be headed to LA --please be on the lookout!

The White 2001 Ford E350 15 passenger window van has dark side windows and a DIESEL engine.
