Just downloaded the footage to my pc....unfortunately I just found out that I curbed my camera on T3 rumble-strip and knocked it out of commision 3 laps into the UN-SB race.
I only got the UN-GP race plus 3 laps of UN-SB.
I was messing with my bike all weekend, and didn't have time to mount the camera until lunch on Sunday. I'll be filming much more at the next event.
I don't have much footage and am busy with work, so I'll do the best I can with what I have. I should have something finished in less than an hour.
I'll post a link once I get it done and online.
looking forward to it, too bad you didnt mount it backwards... you missed a NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE rear end slide exiting 2 on the white flag lap!! I think you might have caught a more tame one in T8... not sure if you where behind me for that one or not...

I just started uploading it at 4:30 .... it's a gig(!) so it'll take a few to upload and lock in to the link.
Hope ya'll like it.
Eric
couldn't get the link to work!
Sorry, I uploaded it and left...server timed out cause file was so big.
I shrunk it to 50MB. It's up now but quality is poorer.
Runaway bike at the 0:55 mark
Nice footage Eric! I swear that camera is on the ground!!
How the hell did Henderson end up on the left of that turn? Did he just overshoot it? I'm amazed he was able to save it without hitting the tires/wall there! Not a lot of room for error on that turn.
Great job with the video (as always) Speedballer.

You can't see it from that compressed clip, but he (almost) highsided in 4 (somehow saved it) went into the grass, skimmed the tirewall and then crossed the track. Rich and Brett were inches from him.
Nice video Eric. :thumb:

It wasn't me that was close to him. I botched my start and was relegated to the back of the pack for that first lap. I did catch a glimpse of him shooting back and forth across the track though. Pretty impressive! The video caught a little bit of it too.
: )
Speaking of videos...
Dudes,
Here's some video of my poor line choosing ability and my even poorer starting ability. Man, the video is even worse than what I remember happening...
This is the Unlimited GP race where I finished 4th.
You can't really see the near miss incident with the dude flying off the left side entrance of turn 6 and then screaming back across the track to the inside grass of turn 6, but it's there if you look close.
The vid is 12min long, and compressed heavily even to get it to 20MB. So you may have to view it at 200% to see much. Also there's no real sound, except the sound of air rushing into the air duct I zip-tied my camera into.
:D
Let me know what ya dudes think:

I have video from every session I was on the track. I'm really happy with the way the camera setup worked. I had all the video at DVD quality on my laptop within 15min of the end of each session and didn't even have to remove the camera from the bike. I'll post up pics of the setup on my website later this week.

All things in perspective man...
every US track I've been on is more dangerous than the ones I raced in Japan...
Racing in gernal is dangerous sport...
You could trip over your untied shoe lace and break any number of bones in your body...

It's true! I kept the rubber side down all weekend. Come Monday I crash my bicycle and hit myself in the back with a dolley cart on Tuesday. :wtf: :banghead:
