Title: At the track printed schedules
Post by: Eric Kelcher on August 07, 2006, 03:58:32 PM
Wondering what the consensus is on the updated at track schedules. Do you like it? Did you notice? Not worth the effort?

How were they outdated beforehand?

Eric, do you mean the on-site schedules with everyone's name and number on the back? I think that was a nice touch for spectators.

That list publicized on a website somewhere would have been extremely helpful for me when I was trying to register a new CCS number last month.
; )

Now, I know who to call to see if I can pay them to give up their number so I can have it.

Thanks, that is what I was wondering about. I hadn't heard any feed back on it and right now it is a pain to get formatted correctly.  Trying to come up with some ideas to make it easier for spectators and racers to know their competition.

Which is better class info or rider?

would probablly be too much work but having a brief description of the classes and then a list of riders by number would be alot nicer for the spectators. we have friends ask all the time what is -------- class? then have the riders listed by # and either am or ex so they can kinda figure out who they are watching.

I liked the riders and numbers.  Usually spectators are there to watch racers they know race, not classes race.

Totally agree on that. There are precious few spectators who come not already knowing a racer competing that weekend. Plus, it would take more than a page to describe all the classes and the differences between them, me thinks...

Again, I thought it was cool, Eric. Thanks for the extra effort on that.
