Sorry about losing your trailer, but maybe some good can come out of it thru this being a learning experience for yourself and others? What were the circumstances surrounding the theft? For example was it stored indoors or out (maybe a storage shed?), were there locks on the trailer (tounge latch mechanism, hitch ball socket coverage lock, locks on the doors/ramps), and what kind of locks were used if any (regular locks, armored, or disk style high security)?
I ask because I get razzed by some people about how I always lock my trailer up, even when in my storage shed. I look at it like the more locks and such a thief has to deal with the more it slows them down and the greater chance of them being discovered and/or caught in the act. Also, easy targets are generally the more common ones, throw in extra risk of being caught and thieves may think twice about doing it and move on to an easier target.
i will let timmy reply to this... ... ! trailer was parked in industrial zone btw building of US custom and Homeland security...police around 24/7....we thought it would be safe there...!! ahah
