Just caught this news on RRW.

Road racer Blake Young's father, Steve,  died in a car accident Saturday night on the way home to Madison, WI.

God speed Steve..............

This is terrible news. 

Steve was a good guy. Our thoughts and prayers are with
Blake and his family.

No info on services or anything as yet. If I find out I'll post it as soon as possible.

you may want to check obits in tomorrows Madison papers on line.

As I understand, a friend of Blake's was in the car with him and he is in serious condition. I don't know who that friend is though.  Blake stayed back at DuQuoin for more races on Sunday so he was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

received an email from morgan brtoadhead this a.m. with details but didn't have time to post it before i left for work.  unfortunately i couldn't make it tonight and can't tomorrow either.  i'll be putting something in an envelope for the kids.

My heart goes out to Blake and his family.  This has been such a tragic year....
