Anyone else in the midwest still waiting? Seems like all the contingency sponsors like to pay out reeeaaalllllll slow (if at all....read VP FUEL) :finger:
I`m still waiting. :jerkoff:
99% of them pay late if at all every year. They get away with it, so why change. Racers will still buy there stuff.
Other racers have gotten their cards. Michelin is issuing a Visa card for use like a debit card. Talk to Tom Mason 612.250.9122, he might be able to answer your question.
I was told at the beginning of the year that a new card was being sent. Have not received. Been emailing that same person monthly but no replies.
I had money left from last year they said would be applied to the new card but who knows.
The folks at CCS and I talked and they were trying to trackdown someone that could help clear things up.
The visa card is unchanged from last year so that shouldn`t be the hold up. Tom has no part in the payout of contingency money.
I got my card in the mail yesterday - and called the number to check my account balance - $50.00......What the hell is up with that - I know I have earned more then that.........But like Baker said - things don't happen fast......
I received my card about a month ago with a whopping $80, by now.....it should be more $$$$$. Whats the deal? :ahhh:
It is to the point that we dont even run the stickers any more. The vendor did not have any tires for us 3 weeks ago, we had to use D's and recieved a check 16 days later.
We definitely do not have a vendor issue in the midwest. Tom Mason (MRT) blows away the other brand`s vendors. We`re more likely to not have a Pirelli or Dunlop rep at the track!! I`m just at that point in the year where I`m sick of paying for tires when I have a ton of contingency built up. I`m sure it`s just clerical bullshit between ccs and the michelin pencil pushers.......I`m just venting :whine:
Like baker says, they always pay super late. I was getting stuff one year in December and January, the stuff said it exspired in January and they still spent the postage to send it. The best part is then next year in Road Racing World the companies brag about how much they paid out in contingency :preachon:
Perhaps somebody could put together a nice editorial for RRW on the topic.

+1 Now that sounds like a good idea for sure
or we could just bitch about it here... lol :pop:
Ron at Michelin called me back today. He informed me for new Michelin riders it takes about 6 weeks to receive your money, I understood that as 6 weeks from when the contingency is approved. For all the others waiting on money he said that allot of the contingency was recently approved. I informed him of this topic on the CCS Forum and asked if he could post some info when he had time. Hopefully he can address everyone's issues listed in this thread.
Need to add a section in the forum for all contigency contact names and numbers if possible. I will post up any info I have. Thanks

You also may want to read this post, could be why some contigency is delayed.
