Hello everyone,
On behalf of Kufalk Media LLC, I wanted to send out an urgent plea for assistance. This weekend, like many others, at Heartland Park Topeka, there were a couple of riders who fell and have sustained severe and possibly life threatening injuries.

You may know these riders, or may not. And there are certainly others who have fallen at this event or others who can USE YOUR HELP.
Ladies & Gentlemen, I urge you to visit the Wegman Benefit Fund - www.wegmanfund.org and make a TAX FREE donation where 100% will be used to assist these riders and others just like them.
From Kufalk Media, I will be posting a $100 donation tonight and would challenge every other small business owner on this board to match me. Individuals, please consider a simple $5 donation. There are +3700 members on this board, and $5 each will equal nearly $20,000 for assistance.
I hope to God that your and my only dealing with Wegman is for us to GIVE them money. But in the unforeseen event that we need assistance, I'm glad they are there.
Please share this post and announcement with everyone you can.
Sincerely,
Jeff Kufalk
Kufalk Media LLC
I took you up on your challenge Jeff,
$10.00 sent, $5.00 for each of the riders.

Jeff,
Received your Wegman email. We don't race, but a number of our friends do. We were
at HPT this past weekend pit-crewing for a friend. We know Jason, and Brad was
pitted next to us. It was not a good weekend. Being from Kansas, we were excited
about the repaving and other upgrades. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they
spent enough time on the most important issue: rider safety.
We contributed $250 to Wegman for these guys. Now we pray.

Might we start an auction?

If you have something to auction off, call me 262-993-5416 and I will set up an auction/raffle and ensure 100% of the funds go to the wegman.
I have a 6' purple stuffed bear in a motorcycle jacket that I would be willing to put towards this auction if it gets rolling. It's in excellent condition.
Met the challenge! Just Donated $100 in Bryan's Memory! $50 for Jason and $50 for Brad. Step up people, you are part of the greatest family there is, the family of Motorcycle Racers and if you can't count on your family, who can you count on? You were always there for us, I am glad to give a little back.
May God Bless all of you Motorcycle Racers and Families and the Wegman Fund!
Laura
I just sent about 100 American Roadracer calendars to VIR for the Wegman benefit this weekend (you still get half the year use out of them). I told them to just give a calendar to anyone who gives $5 to Wegman, but if you're feeling generous make it $10, $20. And please everybody, go get medical insurance. There's a good article in Roadracing World about insurance. Last year I racked up a $10,000 medical bill in 7 hours of care (insurance saved me.) Godspeed to Jason and Brad.

Challenge accepted, $100 donation sent.
Jason is an awesome guy, and if one of us was all busted up you can bet that he'd dig in his pocket.

I just made a $25 donation.
I've got tons-o-crap, that I guess I need to part ways with. I'm just having a hard time doing it.
So far I have a donation of a new set of pitbull stands and a new set of Tyr Sox warmers... Not sure how this is going to go or what else we can get.
Add a $100 Spyder gift certificate.

The stands are going to be a new style front and a spooled rear!! The winner of the stands will have to get with Jeff and let him know what bike they are going to be for so we can get the proper pin for you! The stands are brand new and are coming form the On2-Racing.com crew!!
Let the bidding begin!!
Thanks
Jason
Folks, I have not yet decided how we will raffle/sell/auction these off, but I am leaning towards 3 individual 42 ticket raffles of $5 each ticket. $15 would put you in all 3 and would raise $630 for the fund. Thoughts for or against that???
I vote for an auction!
My reasoning behind it is that auctions are more fun and have more potential for more products/people/businesses to come along and help out.
Anything I can do to help!!
Thanks
Jason

Personally I think there would be more potential monies raised if it we simply held an auction. I would be willing to man the thread and keep it updated with current bids and closing times.

just a thought, why not ebay the items? exposing the auction to more people can only help... is there something that doesnt allow this type of auction when proceeds are donated?

Putting it on Ebay would be great.... But at the same time you are looking at fees through Ebay and you also have to keep in mind the dead beat bidders that wont pay. If we keep it here we dont have the fees that Ebay charges and we can also spread the word to other messages boards, in a round about way, to help this site grow.
Just my $.02 is all.
Thanks
Jason
I was just looking at keeping the items local so we can control the monies.
An open auction (high bidding), I don't know that Alexa's leather cert will go for $210, but in a raffle, it will. Likewise with the tire warmers that Richard sells for $175.
At the wegman night? Sure! Shit, I paid $160 for a $20 shirt for my wife and $190 for a set of pens that Alexa donated. But not mid-season on the forum, I just don't see that happening... Maybe I'm wrong.
I think an auction here is a better idea. Works over on the WERA board, no reason it won't here.Might want to hit a couple of the board vendors up.
Get well soon Jason!
$50 donated.
makes sense, definately make it available to other racing orgs! Much better potential to go over on price and more likely to get the funds!
Since Jeff and Dawn are willing to keep track of this I say keep it here, spread the word and the stuff will sell for good money, don't worry about that.
Pass the word and you'll get plenty of response. Set a time for the bidding to end on each item or group of items. I think group of three or four would work best.
Have the highest bidder make payment to the Wegman Fund. That can be done online by credit card on our site or by personal check via snail mail. As soon as payment is received, with a shipping address, I will notify the donor to ship the item.
Good luck with this, I'll keep watching and who knows, I may buy something! :thumb:
Hi, all. This is Stephanie, Brad's girlfriend. Reading all your posts and good wishes literally brings tears to my eyes. You guys are so awesome and we appreciate your prayers and support so much - they are making a difference!! It will be a long recovery for Brad and there is a possibility he will not be able to ride again. He had some surgeries today, which went as well as could be expected, but he did some pretty good damage to his shoulder. We are hoping he will be off the ventilator in the next couple days, which will tell us a lot about the severity of his head injury.
Our thoughts and prayers are also with Jason. I am in Kansas City all week, so I will keep my eyes open for him because I'm sure they are both on the same unit.
I will try to keep checking the Board so I can keep everyone updated. Right now we are taking one day at a time.......
Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!
Okay, give me 1 day to get some pics and set stuff up right. There will be 3 separate threads for the auctions. They will be open bidding for 1 week.
Stephanie, thank you for updating the post! Please make sure you get Gordy's contact info to Brad's family or whoever will be caring for his finances. And if there is anything ANY of us can do, do not hesitate to ask. no matter how big or how small. We'll get it done...
I was just sitting here printing out all the donations and orders coming in for Jason and Brad. I've started a file for each to keep track of the funds and other records.
It's a busy year so far, a bunch of injuries. I don't like seasons like this.
Just read your post Stephanie. please keep us informed on Brad's progress and needs. Our prayers are with him......... and Jason.

I think that should be something that goes on often. People donate parts or misc things with the money going to Wegman....something that could be done?
I was talking to the owner of our local dealer, Cycle City, about Jason and Brad's injuries. He doesn't know either one of these guys at all, and his only involvement in roadracing is the support he gives a few riders in the area.
When I told him about Wegman, he immediately sat down and carved a check for $100.00. Pretty cool.
That is awesome! I'll be getting some contact info from you and doing some business with them to show some appreciation.

Can't believe I just found out about this! I've had some other equally messy stuff going on with other people around me, so I guess I haven't been paying attention. Man, First X, now Jason! These are my beer drinking buddies! SHIT! Sounds like Brad really got pounded too. I'm not sure I've met him, but he gets a prayer anyway.
Hey Jeff, can you auction a copy of Highside? Start it at $22, OK? People are just giving you money, so maybe the guy who feels like giving you the most could get a book out of the deal for his trouble. It's not much, I know....
Contact me with a shipping address for the winner.

Will do K3!
Thanks again to everyone who contributed, no matter what it was. You all made a difference.
I look forward to the auction and anything else we can do to raise funds here!
