Please, do not over do it! I've heard of racers being put on IR for having blisters on their check writing hand!

Let me know how it goes Jeff. I really need to get mine done.

BTW, they needed to tear it all off? I thought you could layer? Heck, I don't know...

I'm VERY impressed so far.  The price and speed of job are well beyond my expectation.

you "can" layer, but it's a BAD idea.  I had 2 layers on the roof, and it leaked.  You cannot find a leak when there's 2 layers.  Additionally, your insurance will go up because the cost to replace a 2-3 layer roof is more expensive.  Additionally most shingle mfr's won't warranty a layered install, and the life expectancy is cut in half.

Bottom line, it can be done but it's something you don't want to do.

I'll shoot you an email with a bit more info.

Gosh Jeff, not like making us look slow........

.... but then again, it's only Paul and myself working on the house on the weekends.

Here's week four:

- - Furring strips up and additional foam insulation added.
- - Dining room windows removed and an outswing french door installed.  (If I had nuts, I swear I pulled one lifting that thing up).
- - Soffit removed on front and back of house.
- - Former hardboard siding, all nails removed and relocated to the barn for future use.
- - Brick on front of the house removed (it was yellow, it had to go!)
