Title: catch can ?'s (beating a dead horse)
Post by: cbirk on June 06, 2006, 08:17:04 PM
I hope I'm not beating a dead horse(https://www.ccsforum.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wisconsinmotorcycling.com%2FphpBB%2Fimages%2Fsmiles%2Fbash.gif&hash=292b9124402f03ce0b1c410db2fb736434c8fab3) , but I did a search and didn't quite find what I was looking for. I have an R1 and I need to get a catch can system in the works. My understanding is the crankcase, coolant and fuel overflows have to be routed to a catch can. My crankcase breather is already running to the airbox stock. So, what will work for a catchcan for the rest? Does anyone know a company that sells catch cans? I also heard I don't need to put a catch can on anything except the crank case breather but the ccs rule book seems to disagree with that statement. Please forgive my "newness"...Any advice would help. thanks  also It reads 350cc's which translates to 11.8 fluid ounces. Also it states no zip ties and the catch can has to be heat resistant...

Crankcase vent is it.  There is a difference between "can be routed" and "must be routed".

The coolant reservoir overflow and fuel overflow can be routed to the belly pan.

Thanks Jeff. I didn't read into the "may" and "must"....One less thing to worry about now.
