My wife was video taping at Blackhawk and got Mike Anhalt crashing. Not sure how well it will turn out on the internet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uqbDCLJpKU
Wow, looks like the front tucked first.....you wouldn't happen to have any more of that on film would ya?
Sorry I don't. My wife didn't even notice the crash until we watched the tape. There is a little bit of you standing by the rail wincing in pain. It's alot clearer on the tape. I can bring it to Blackhawk in June, will you be there?
Might be there watching, we'll see.....thanks for sharing though, I'm still trying to figure out what I would have done different that time around.....all part of it I guess.
Hey Mike just thought I'd offer you best wishes. Heal up fast. I saw the tail end of your mishap and it didn't look like too much fun. Good luck and get back fast I enjoy watching you chasing around the track.
Thanks a lot butch, what are you riding this year?
looks to me like you lost the rear 1st?? maybe better video will help, could have been much worse... :(
mike- ill bet youve watcdhed this one a few times! :)
mike-watched it a couple more times and it looks to me like you start losing the rear @ the apex and it slides a bit then catches, bucking the rear, pitching the fromt. whaduya think??(try viewing w/smaller and larger screen size)
Yeah, I think you're right.....now that I've watched it a couple more times it looks like the rear stepped out. When it happend I felt it start to slide, backed off, then it hooked up and just upset the bike. After it hooked back up I was already hugging the windscreen and then it was all over....just wish I could have kept my feet up off the grass.

Not racing. I leave that to my son and his '05 R6. He's am #191, a beautiful shade of primer gray.
I'll keep my 600RR for track days only.
Yeah, looks like the back came around hooked, then overloaded the front to me. Kinda hard to tell as it's not all that clear.
That's a pretty high speed corner there, where did you end up stop sliding?
What race was that in?
I remember you (at least I think that was you) passing me for the lead in the GTU race on Saturday.
I stopped sliding about 20 feet from the tires half way down the back straight (4th gear just getting on the gas again). That was the MWSS race on Sunday, second lap. I remember you too from the GTU race, although I didn't see you in the MWGP after you checked out after the start :wah:

I always wondered where I'd end up if I lost it in that corner.. Glad you didn't hit anything stationary.
Yeah, second lap sounds about right. Well, If it makes you feel any better, I had nothing for you in the GTU race! :ahhh: After that nice pass  you put on me, I realized I need to grow a pair when it comes to brake points! 8)
I only get three seconds of video. I'm missing something, aren't I?

Thanks man, I dont know about growing a pair, you were railin' for the MWGP race...wish we could mix it up more this year.
And Dave there's only 3 seconds of vid, just enough to remind me to be gentle with the right wrist.
