For nothing. Broken promises & unanswered emails by Kevin Elliott. I have waited since Easter sunday race at CMP,before posting this & have emailed Kevin 2 times.
Heres the deal....
Our last race on easter David Brown takes the 5 min board for warm-up lap,before he completes lap & grids up Art drops the flag to start the race,David was just pulling up behind the Novices.Afterward we questioned Art his reply was he made a judgement call because of time constraints.Well upon further discussion with Kevin he agreed to refund the entry fee for the race and to talk to all officials make sure this does not happen again.
Kevin asked us to email him & remind him because it would be a week before he returned to the office.Welll I've emailed him twice with no response.
Kevin the hand shake & giving me your word mean nothing in my book.You have the emails & refuse to reply.What a way to treat your racers. I'm sure we will not attend another ccs race no matter how close to home it is.
That weekend was a total disaster & y'all know it. Alot of people are pissed at you guys.
Before you guys jump on me about posting this.Like I said before I took Kevins word & a hand shake that this would be taken care of and it has not been.

Don't worry, Kevin promised me return phone calls and emails and nothing came of that.
Then again, I wasn't the one calling people with phony phone calls and making death threats.

Note to 3rdshiftgixxer: I've never met you and I don't know the particulars of the situation, but I know Kevin Elliott pretty well. Based on what I've read, my money would be on Kevin for having credibility on this and not your version!

I've had great responses from Kevin and the CCS folks so far this year in the fax, email and refund departments.
No sir.Only emailed him twice,I took his word. Maybe they got to him maybe they didn't,I'don't know. I did what I was asked to do.Plus ythe conversation we had at the track.
This is just another thing that went wrong that weekend. Everyone knows it was a disaster.

I was pitted across from #101 and I can bear witness to what happened. I didn't catch the specifics, but dude was flying and I think he was intent on winning that race which he couldn't after the mix up. I know there was a lot of tension at that point. Maybe you could try emailing someone else and have them contact Kevin... you never know what may have happened along the way.
Oh, and gimme 10 bucks on #101 in a fistfight :)

Give Kevin a phone call in Ft. Worth. E-mail systems, yours or theirs, are always suspect to failure.

Burt we have raced with CCS for a while & I know Kevin has a ton of things on his plate. What i told was the real deal. I don't think Kevin would intentionally shit someone. I jumped the gun by posting in public I should have called 1st.

Glad to hear you're following up with a phone call. I've had things bite me in the butt before by relying on e-mails too.
Have to admit I've never been to CMP so I wouldn't know the specific challenges involved for riders and Starter to get a race gridded and started fairly.
Not making a judgement on this situation, but I can tell you from the races where I have been the Starter that I have had to go green a few times when I had a straggler not make it to the grid. Not the sort of thing that should happen regularly, usually there's extenuating circumstances.... someone busting pit out on the 4 board, not following instructions to start from Hot Pit lane or not going directly to their grid spot without a warmup lap, etc.
If David got on the track before the 4 board you would normally assume that he would be gridded with the rest of the field. Did he have bike problems on the warmup lap? Any reason he would take the warmup lap slower than the rest of the field? Was the Starter aware he didn't have everyone gridded?
Not trying to make excuses, maybe the Starter did screw up, I know I have before!
I just hate to see Kevin getting his balls racked on this because of missed emails. I have every confidence from working 2 race weekends with him since the change in ownership that he is doing everything he can to make this an organization that is sincerly concerned with putting the interests of the riders at the top of his list.

I don't know the particulars of this situation, but I can say so far I have been very pleased with CCS's response time to me and in posting results so far this year. Much better than last year!

my guess is, is that what LRRS was basically say was "we wont give you a license, but if CCS wants to, thats their business". and what CCS is saying is, "if LRRS(a CCS affiliate) suspended your license, we aren't giving you one till they reinstate you"
