Henry runs the FL region, it's only a satellite of CCS.  He usually has the rider's best interest in mind... perhaps not running with transponders lowers the cost and allows the $2000 in shootout money as well as a good amount in GTU and GTO, a LOT higher than a normal CCS event.  I've heard from others in the FL region that he's dead set against it, but maybe you should email him your concerns.

Most all of us use Micron Lap timers, others have a crew with a couple of good 'ol stop watches.  Transponders would be nice, but cheaper races with better payouts is worth it.

The Florida Region will use transponders as soon as CCS gets their new computer race program up. Until then we will continue manual scoring. Stay tuned.
