I am going to my first track day at Jennings on the 11th. Can I bring my dog if she is leashed and also has a cage available? Also, trying to decide when to head up...I'm 6 hours away and work till 6 on Friday...any ideas? Should I leave at 1 am or leave right after work and try to get a hotel after midnight? Probably drive all night and then sleep a bit after I get there in the durango. Thanks in advance for the info.

Yes, Jennings allows pets. Like you said, keep em on a leash. There is a nice hotel 1 exit NORTH of the jennings exit. Best western. Call central reservations and tell them you go to the track all the time. usually will give the mgr. discounted price of $38 per night Vs. 50$. i have stayed at ALL the hotels in the area. Nice breakfast buffet across the street too. DO NOT try to just show up and expect a room. 2 times we have done that and all rooms for miles were booked up. after 10pm or so, travelers just dont wanna drive and stop for the night. even if at 5pm when you call and they say they have rooms, GET A RESERVATION...im only 3 hrs away and with cold temps, drive up at 6am and miss a session or 2 but big deal. to cold at 9am anyway..
later. look me up if your there sunday.. MELK-MAN on the back of my yellow/black f4..
