Title: VIR Ultralight / Lightweight SB times
Post by: a13x on April 03, 2006, 09:05:16 PM

What's a typical Top 3 time at VIR in Ultralight Superbike and Lightweight Superbike?

Both AM and EX?

Thanks.
Been looking around trying to find some CCS times, but to no avail. Found WERA results on Mylaps.com form their recent VIR race thou.

D Superbike (aka: CCS Ultralight Superbike)
1 55 Mike Schafer 1:44.165
2 614 Chris Mann 1:49.443
3 881 Shigeru Honda 1:53.725
4 60 Adam Vella 1:52.551
5 186 Chad Bakkene 1:52.399

Thinking of heading down in June to race and just want a idea of what the competition is like. Just did a trackday there last week on a borrowed bike with my new laptimer hooked up... fun stuff.

in that race, i was riding a stock DRZ400.
i ran as fast as 1:44.4 on my YZ450 in clubman and dropped that to a best of 1:43.36 in the motard class.

BTW, Adam was riding a bigbore CRF450.  ;D

looks like top LW experts were into the 1:37.5 to 1:40 range.

Yes I read all about you and AV's little bet, the bikes, and the results on the WERA board.  :o

43.3 on a motard seems legit. Good stuff.
Hopefully I can make it down in June. Probably still be a AM thou.. blah.

Wow! Isn't Adam an AMA Pro license holder? And you beat him like that? Maybe you had motor on him?
