Houston, we have a Gixxer!
It took five nights worth of midnight oil since the frame showed up, but Baby is ready. Is there anything more satisfying than building a new racebike? Now if I can just get the trailer rehab finished and throw a water pump in the pickup before next Saturday, I'll be instructing a WERA licensing school at Grattan! Woo Hoo!
Congrats Chris!
But Gratten in March doesn't sound very appealing to me! :o
Congrats!! I've heard that Chicago weekend in Grattan is a chilly one. Better run some hook ups for an electric vest!! :D Are you gonna run a 750?
QuoteCongrats Chris!

Grattan in APRIL doesn't even sound appealing to me!
QuoteAre you gonna run a 750?
Oh yeah!
Pictures!! We need pictures!! :o
Gimmi a break, G! You'll see it in two weeks!
I got the water pump done in the truck today, and about half-finished the trailer maintenance. Then I only have about 6000 other details to cover before I leave. It's amazing how there's just never any decent weather to do outside work before the season starts. I can't wait to try my snow tires out at Grattan next week! ;D
I was pulling into Urgent Care about the time you were finishing up. Yup, $200 lighter, a diagnosis of bronchitis, a script for some antibiotics and a humbling few days, I think i'm going to live. ::) :-/ :P
Congrats on getting baby done. Hopfully she's a total screamer! ;D
Can't wait to see ya riding it, hint, hint. ;D

I took a bunch of pics of mine; it's the best it will look all season 8)
Well, tonight I finished my shelving project in the trailer, got one chock remounted, and sorted out the wiring problem that kept blowing fuses. (a couple rub-throughs in the trailer harness underneath and inside) I also replaced the burned-out bulbs and the one broken lens. Of course it was pouring rain the whole time.... ::)
Now the bike is in the trailer for a trip to the dyno tomorrow for a map check. Man, I still have so much to do!
Quote Man, I still have so much to do!
So how is that different than any other year? ;)

hey. i'll be instructing at grattan also.
i haven't forgotten about calling you about putnam, either. still waiting to hear back from putnam. if we truly can't even sleep in the rv at the track...i'll probably just solo it there in the truck. unless you absolutely need a ride to putnam.....
Yeah, we really can't camp at Putnam. Everybody with a motorhome stays at the Walmart parking lot. :-/ I have a pickup and a motorghetto myself, so it's not like I lack a ride.
Woohoo! Back from the dyno! I'd tell ya what she made, but then I'd have to kill you.... ;D
Yeah, please tell us, so I can make fun of it when we lap you...
;D :o
I'm guessing 135...

;D :o
I think it's best I don't tell. Then when I beat Edgar, he can claim I have a 175 HP GSXR 1000 superbike motor in there. It's ALWAY motor when Edgar loses.... ::)
