for those of you that dont know Audi has a new race car that is called the R10 which replaces the R8, the R10 is the first race car to be powered by diesel, and audi just set the pole for the alms race at sebring getting 1 and 2 on the grid being the frist car ever to be on pole with a diesel, the race is this weekend, alot more records to be broken with this car to come :o :o

the engine is a V12 twin turbo diesel with 650 hp and 1000 pound feet of tourque
by the way audi is coming out with a suv called the Q7 and we will have them in a month or so

I think it's 4.2 V8 only in the US

in a year or so they say that diesel will be here
but it will be a 350 hp V8 first then a V6 with 280 hp

If Audi comes to US with a Diesel Perf. car we'll be in your showroom. I've got a 400 hp/ 550 ft/lb V8 in my truck but it's pulling 4 tons!!

Is there a link to qualifying?

LOL! I don't have real cable at home, but I have it out of town...

PRI show has had many manufacturers developing racing diesel engines.

Now, 650HP...who cares. What kind of torque does it put out?

i thought that it had 1000 lbs of tourque but now im told 800

Was this the car you saw when you went to Germany? I remember you tellling us about some crazy new Audi. Speaking of which, I think that track you went to is going to be on the Amazing Race tomorrow night. Bank walls through trees and stuff? It looks crazy!

i saw all kinds of stuff that is coming in the future but im not allowed to talk about it so audi tells me

coming soon, RS4, S6, S8, new TT, R8 which is the same as a lambo gallardo, of course the Q7 new allroad, Q5 later and then maybe a Q3, maybe a S3, something called the roadjet, and what is now called the coupe in a couple years will be a direct competitor of the 911 in size, price and performance
