Any recommendations on decent hotels close to the track? or ones to stay away from?

As well, what kinda track is it, for gearing?... tight/short/technical like Barber, or something like VIR/summit?

Last time I was there was years ago and there was only 2 "mom and pop" hotels in the Kershaw area. I don't know if there are any other hotels near by though. Luckily I'll be staying with a friend that only lives 45mins away. Just see what you can find in the yellow pages for Kershaw, SC and hotels.

Definately stay in Camden--more options. I've stayed at the local Knights Inn. Yes it is a hole ($40) but there is a sushi bar next door! ;D

I recommend that if you crash, DO NOT got to the local hospital. >:( They SUCK big time.

Executive Inn & the Kershaw Motel are the only two in Kershaw that I recall. Lancaster, SC is probably a little closer than Camden & has several to choose from also (as well as plenty of places to eat).
