Title: Installing a GSXR front on a SV650???
Post by: Super_KC124 on March 09, 2006, 03:22:31 PM
I'm installing a 2001 GSXR600 front end on my 2001 SV650. What do I use for an upper bearing? Do I have to use a diffrent race in the upper steering head?

Try these guys:

Or you could just get a second gen SV: the forks are a bolt on. (if you ignore fork stops) :D

I've got one of Zoran's bearings and I'm planning on doing the GSXR swap this weekend (assuming my forks show up in time).

The bearing is a roller bearing, not loose balls which is nice, it's great quality and is only $55 shipped.

The down side is you have to file some material off the top of the neck of the bike.  I don't know how much yet as I haven't installed it yet.
