No, my technique is somewhat different. I create a large crater. Other racer who can't avoid the crater simply fly over the top. Once the race has been red flagged, I crawl out and check to see whether or not I can see my shadow.
(Or perhaps count how many of my shadows do I see....?)
Been there. Done that. I'll try to remember the beat next time it happens... although, those look like 125s, you may just want to put a shoulder down and hope.
