New?  I'd get a Factory Pro dyno.  Used, there are a lot of older dynojet ones.  Consistency might be a big issue.  Are you looking to do real work with a measuring too...or just make money with a dyno.  Two different philosophies there.

Dave, We want it to do runs against the same bike for setup. A used unit would be nice ($)

Rick Beggs at Fast Lane Cycles just a got a new dyno, newer than what he had anyways.  I don't know if its for sale, but you might as well call him.  I believe it is a Dynojet 150.

Dayton dyno in OH was making cheap bike dyno's; ~$8000.

Do you want to be able to map fuel injection?  If so, you'll need either an eddy current dyno or a Dynojet with an eddy current add-on.  We looked at an older Dynojet which could have been bought for about $5000 but after researching it we found that it would be almost useless (at least for our needs).  Ended up going with a FactoryPro and have no regrets (just have to make the payment every month!).

I only want it to check for improvements in mods, all I want is a HP and TQ curve.

you can map fuel injected bikes without eddy current, just takes a little lnger, and hard to duplicate part throttle riding problems

Greg: How much does Factory Pro charge you a month? How long a lease, or is it a rent to own deal, or do you just have a loan on it?

PM me please if you don't want to discuss here.  :)

I just met with my (former) business partners in Chicago this past weekend after the consumer motorcycle show. Our dyno tuning business has suffered due to the success of our "real" jobs. It is no more.

Bottom line is that we have a very lightly used current model DynoJet 250i with all of the current WinPEP7 software, PC included, integrated air/fuel monitor, dual cooling fans, monitor tray/arm, custom loading ramp, huge room exhaust fan, etc... Basically a top of the line motorcycle dyno set up. We've got about $30k in it...

We are looking to sell at a steep discount from new...

Give me a call at 913-424-5300.

Thanks-
