I was wondering how practice works for CCS racing events.

On the day of the race, licensed entrants are grouped into 4-6 groups and given 1-3 round of practice which are 8-15 minutes in length.

Generally there's 5 groups and you get 2 rounds.

If you run 2 different bikes in 2 different classes (i.e., a lightweight bike as well as a MW/HW/UL bike), you can get into 2 practice groups per session.

if you race FL region, we practice all day Sat., race sunday.
Sat. practice rotates with 3 groups and then on Sun. morning there is 1 round of practice before the races..so you can actually show up sunday, get a session of practice and go race the same day.

If you're in the midwest, BHF usually has all day practice on Fridays before a race weekend.

QuoteIf you're in the midwest, BHF usually has all day practice on Fridays before a race weekend.

But it costs $80 extra as the track is sponsoring the practice/test day.
