I'm in the market...
Give me your experiences, please!
;)

With the stereo option... (a must have).
Experience...
Put up a fence around it to keep the wind down.
Don't use an enclosure or gazebo. It's very nice to view the stars.
Maintenance is very simple
Electricity cost is about $75/mo (regardless of what they tell you).
Worth every penny of it...
I'm coming up on 2 years of ownership, and we still use it 2-4 times a week. I use it in the summer on 90 degree nights and in the winter on 0 degree nights (just wear a hat!).
Craig from Master Spa's in Waukesha is the man...

I'm not allowed to use it this winter and I miss it so much.
Love it!
Our total electric bill is around $50 a month. It didn't go up much when we swapped out the old spa for this one. Definitely worth it.

Well, after you have the little one......
You'll be able to soak again!
;)
oh. one other thing.. A thermal blanket that lays on top of the water, coupled with the normal folding cover will save you about $15/mo in electricity and your chemicals will last longer.
The airspace between the cover and the water without the thermal blanket is a killer for heat and chemicals.
We've had a Coleman (6 person) spa for 8 years now. We use it year round. Best in the winter. The only problem so far , we replaced one pump& motor.
Were on the second cover. In economy mode it uses $30.00 per month. Set the cycles to early morn. & late evening and it's ready when we like to use it. Once you own one , you'll be spoiled for life ;D
We have owned a Dimension One spa for a little over a year and a half, 7 person, Insulated cover and also went with an insulated pad that the tub sits on as well, I have seen only an $ 18 rise in my bill, but then again ,its a little milder here in St. Louis .
I dont care for the gazebos either, the open air is nice and you can position the cover to block a lot of the winter winds. They also have umbrellas for the tubs that can be used as wind blocks as well.Consumer reports had done some testing, I believe it was in 2004 that helped sway my purchase .
Dig ditch, lower yourself into 40 degree water, ahhhhhh!
We have Great lakes it seem to run about $25 a month. We had stop using it in winter because the little ones. Three little boys getting in out in winter weather worried about colds.
The Swed's believe it strengthens your immune system.
What type do I own?
I don't. There are enough people that have already spent the money that I just use theirs!
In fact, after two days of snowboarding with the youngun's I'm going over there right now, beer in hand.
(Beer will get you in anyone's spa and is cheaper than buying your own!)
:)
Well that's nice, Don....
.... but we don't really have neighbors up here. Although, when we have it all set up, feel free to visit.
;)
Pick me up on your way, Don! And we'll need to bring dirtbikes and shotguns along with the beer. Man, BFR just keeps getting better!

Thanks for the invite. If I'm every up your way I'll bring the beer!
Ahh, another spa I can crash.
BTW, if Paul and Chris are ever in there at the same time remember to lower the water level before they get in. :P ;D
Well, this is the one we ended up purchasing today...

Good choice!!! Look's alitte like ours. NOT. I hope you get as much or more pleasure.
Happy (hot) New Year!!!!
I would just skip the tub and send the money to Tommy over in Minni!! !! (For Tires!)
Does farting in the bathtub count? ;)

LOL!!!
This falls under our home improvement loan. I don't know if I could convince the bank to cut a check for that dollar amount for tires.
Dawn ;)
What an awesome investment....
My body feels so good after sitting in there, I wish I could have had one sooner. I have to give props to Paul for all the work he did on installing it. It was a huge job since we installed it inside.
Wiring done, header rebuilt, door will be reinstalled this weekend.
;D
