12.21.05 > Schedule Changes for ASRA, MW and Track Addix GP Series <
As normal for this time of year, we have been informed of schedule changes for both ASRA and Team Challenge Series as well as the Mid-West and Great Plains CCS-Sanctioned Series. Be sure to check them out on the schedule pages
If I read the rule book correctly, Valve Jobs are no longer legal in supersport racing with CCS.
6.1.2E(3)
Of course this is just a draft.
WOW!!!
400 Points is all that is required in 12 Months to be an Expert now, so long to the 750 of prior! ???
with the new point scale the diffuculty of going expert should probably be similar

So, if you have something go through the valve and valve seat, you're supposed to replace the head?

;D Oh yeah...Forgot about that ;)
That is the same wording that section it has had for at least the last 5 years...since the valve seats are not mentioned they are allowed to be modified, just as the valve face itself is allowed normal machining to make it seal to the valve seat.
So... SS legal would include:
Slipper Clutch (aftermarket)
Quickshifter (aftermarket)
Total-loss ignition
And ooooh so much more... :D

I am glad we have that clarification.
The rule states"Original equipment head, valves, and cams must remain as produced, with the exception of machining the gasket surface of the cylinder head"
When I read that, I see I can only mill the head.
The seats are part of the head aren't they?

not if they are able to be replaced!
Quotenot if they are able to be replaced!
I must have ::) overlooked that section of rule book that defines the grey areas ;D
C`mon matt! That`s an OLD AMA trick!!
