Title: Working on a movie set
Post by: Speedballer347 on December 17, 2005, 07:23:05 PM
Not mc related, but kinda cool....  Hired by a film company to work on set.
They are filming a WW2 movie for HBO, kinda like BandOfBrothers, or sumthin' .... I don't know a lot of the details.
Called Rhineland after the German town/battle.
I've been working on it through December, and my jobs ends in March.

Neatest thing about it is getting exposed to different people and their particular 'world'
Everyone lives in a bubble, and it is really interesting to step outside of mine, and see what others lives are all about.  Very interesting people I have met.

On a motorcycle note, my business partner and I are going to be sponsoring several CCS racers for 2006.
We will have 3 different levels of sponsorship.
I will post all the details in about 4 weeks.

Anyways, Happy Holidays  :)

I've shot better video then that with a bullet camera on my mask playing paintball! ;)

Where are you filming this?

I asked Goldie Hawn to dinner once...
Will that get me a sponsorship?

I make the cast & crew COFFEE  :P ;D

I don't recognize any of the actors, so they are prolly unknowns.  Pretty low budget.  Gonna be on HBO, and then video. The night shoots are colddddd, daddy-O :'(

Coolest thing about it is seeing them do their thing, and getting to meet people who are just as passionate about their craft as we are....but in a completely different arena.  I am making some good contacts and friends, outside the motoorcycle venue, so that's cool.
It's really interesting to see how they make a movie too.

On the sponosorship stuff, we are going to be giving free product and labor(A), bare-material cost on products and labor(B), and then heavy discounts on product(C).
DanO is getting an A sponsorship.  We will prolly have 3 more of those(A) for CCS guys.  We are still hammering out all of the details.

R1, that sounds great.  I'll PM you my work number.  Call me after Christmas, and we will set up the details.

Scotty,
We are opening up a motorcycle race-product CNC manufacturing facility.
We will be a new company, but we are really going to try to help out a bunch of CCS guys from free to heavily disccounted parts.

I'll post up in less than a month w/ more info.
Right now we are at:
A) All products (some very high-dollar) free.  Any fabrication or welding repair free.
B) Material cost on products.  Heavy discounts on fab/welding.
C) Dealer cost on products.  No fab/welding work accepted.

and then the "licensed racer" discounts for CCS racers.

Anyone who gets sponsored will be happy w/ what we are going to be doing for them.  Hundreds of dollars of free chit, for a sticker on a bike  ::) :'(

Also bars, engine covers, adjustable triple clamps, etc, etc.
Also will be making "The BumbleBee"  ;)

I thought all NCAA sports logo's were copywrited as well as registered.   I also remember recently that the University of Iowa brought suit against a semi-pro team for logo infringement on their TigerHawk logo and won.    Are people really that oblivious or has stealing just become more acceptable these days.

I think people really don't get that what someone took time to create belongs to them.

You'd think though anyone involved in the creative process of making bike parts would get it since their ideas could be stolen as well. Oh well, as long as it's not a rape joke it's all good :)

QuoteOh well, as long as it's not a rape joke it's all good :)

Mongo, what's worse:
Nabbing a pic until we can have an artist make one?
Or using my wife's rape and subsequent destruction of both her, and my life, as the butt of one of your jokes?

You were informed of the details of this, and I am utterly baffled by you still using this as a springboard to emotionally upset me.
I used to have some respect for you, not anymore.
Whoever would use a horrific life-destroying tragedy to poke at someone is either a deadpan sociopath or have the emotional depth of a child.

Tell me how funny it is when your wife Evelyn gets raped and has a nervous breakdown.
You have shown how much of a lowlife you are.  You are trash.

Keep posting all you want, I aint gonna go round and round w/ you WERA jerks anymore.
Go F w/ someone else.
Bye!

You really need some psychiatric help.

No one mentioned your wife on my BBS.  Period. I'd never allow it. You however took something inane that had nothing to do with her or you, blew it out of proportion and then started threatening people with physical harm at the track.  That's unacceptable and why you got banned.  I've told you this all along - get professional help because the world isn't gong to change to spare your feelings when no one is talking to or about you.

And no it has nothing to do with you being a thief of copyrighted material, that's a seperate deal all together.  But one point, if you'd like respect I suggest you figure out how to give it first.

Perhaps I was implying that we needn't LOOK for reasons to fight with one another.  Has anyone in this thread stolen from you Garth?
(Sorry in advance Garth.  The rest of this isn't directed at you.)
Sometimes it's nice to just be considerate and civil.
Peace on earth, good will to men.
Maybe to just mind your own business once in a while.
Peace on earth, good will to men.
For example, If I found out that a couple of shotgun toting hillbillys had violently azzraped a certain race director, I'd probably go out of my way to NOT crack azzraping jokes, gay jokes, or anything else like that in the man's presence.
Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.
I mean, why REMIND someone of their suffering?  Why rip the scabs off another man's wounds for no other reason than because it gives you a chub to cause misery?  How petty and sadistic do you have to be to do something like that?
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
What I WOULDN"T do is tell the man that he has no right to his feelings, and that he should get some counseling so that he can better withstand me excrecising my constitutional right to be an azzhole, and pick on him for my own personal pleasure!
It's called compassion.  Good people have some.

Compassion is one thing and I would agree with you.  When someone post on a public forum an item that they have stollen I have no issues with that person getting called out.

Just because it is Christmans time is of no consequence.  He stole, he got called out, hopefully he learns a lesson, enough said, end of story.

Have a Merry Christmas.

Sorry Chris but you're misunderstanding the whole thing, there is more to it than just my post here.

A very stupid joke was made on my BBS and Speedballer flipped out - threatening other riders, threatening me via email and all in all being a total psycho.  I responded to that nicely but still would not take down the joke nor woul dI lift his ban at that time. He then accellerated his threats and I don't respond to obviously idle threats well and still did not do what he wanted.  As you can see by his signature he is obviously upset about that.  His subsequent emails and his comments since have ruled out any sympathy for him no matter what time of year - I see no reason to treat people differently during the holidays, I prefer to treat people nicely all year long.  Yes, hurt family members hurt us too in many ways, so go get help.  Step up and act like a human being with feelings and I'll treat you like one.  Act like a moron and I'll treat you like one.  I'll let you guess which category he's fallen into at this point....

Was my point mean?  Yep, and maybe it'll piss him off enough to actually get the help he needs.  But it also served as a nice little reminder to him that I have not forgotten his actions nor his threats to me and a number of our riders.

QuoteSorry Chris but you're misunderstanding the whole thing

Was my point mean?  Yep,
Mean people suck.  That was my point.

Now don't get me wrong.  I was raised and schooled a Catholic, but I don't have my name engraved on the altar at the local church.  In fact, I'm not sure which local church I should belong to, if you get my meaning.  But let me misquote scripture one last time in the spirit of the holidays.
If they slap one cheek, turn the other.
Now Mongo, I know Speedballer.  He's a pretty nice guy, for a knucklehead stunt monkey.  I see this whole situation going on, and I think to myself, "This is just a simple case of somebody accidentally stepping on the foot of a guy who already had a broken toe.  Naturally, the guy is gonna yell, because it hurts.  Then the other guy says, "It was already broken, so you can't blame me!"  From there the war starts.
What if everybody just declared it a no-win situation and walked away?  What's really to be gained by continuing a fight that never should have started in the first place?  It's Christmas.  Why not just let it go?
Or, you could declare a jihad, and countless thousands could die over the next few hundred years.
Mongo, do you really think you can, or should even try, to teach another man the proper way to grieve?  Are you sure you know the proper way?  And if you do know the proper way to grieve, proper to who?
My mom taught me not to fight battles that held no prize for the winner, and no dishonor for the loser.  Better to spend the energy on something that actually matters.  You're obviously a very intelligent guy, but you seem to get into a lot of pissing matches over stuff that just doesn't really affect the big picture.  Man, if it doesn't really matter, just learn to let it go!  The world will be a happier place.  You will be a happier guy!  That's all I'm saying....
Title: Re: Working on a movie set
Post by: Mongo on December 26, 2005, 09:43:24 AM
Huh?  Since when am I unhappy?

Can I teach a man to grieve properly?  Nope but I do know for a fact lashing out at innocents and threatening physical violence isn't a healthy thing - hence my suggestion for him getting the care from a professional in the area.  Best I've got is thousands of volunteer hours at a mental hospital so while I know where to look for help like that I can't give it myself.  I also think that anyone trheatening physical violence over words - especially not directed at him - needs to step up and act like  man and not a hurt little child.

Again with the Christmas thing - what is your problem?  Do you feel that it's okay to be more of an asshole on other days of the year?  I don't, why be a hypocrite?  I help people out every day of the year, I'm nice to people every day of the year, I don't think I should be more or less so on one day out of all the others.  The same goes for those who have put themselves in a position where I'm no longer going to be nice to them.

Pissing matches amuse me nothing more nothing less.  In this case I don't like people making threats to me or my racers.  Easy way to not get into a pissing match with me is to not act like a total idiot...

But hey, think what you will ;)

QuoteAgain with the Christmas thing - what is your problem?  Do you feel that it's okay to be more of an asshole on other days of the year?
Naw.  It's never a good day to be an a$$hole.
Mental conditions?  I've heard that a Napoleon Complex qualifies one for therapy, but since I'm not medically qualified to diagnose such a condition, I wouldn't be so persumptious as to try. ;)
Actually, I wish people would be nicer to each other every day of the year.  I just had hoped that certain people might be slightly more introspective and accepting of others at this time of year.  I see that my pleas have fallen on deaf ears, so I'll drop it.

Not only are you a sadistic  a$$hole....you are a liar!

Threats?
I told panther what I would do if he talked that sh*t to me at the track.
Then I was banned....without a peep from me.

Month (?) later your punkb*tch G97 brings up the speedballer/wera rape sh*t again, getting it going again on a stunt board.
Did I threaten him?  I was in such a friggin rage, I honestly don't remember exactly what I said to him...but I prolly did.
I guess everyones got a button to push, and you wera guys have found mine...my wife's rape/sodomy.

As far as you Mongo, I never said beans after I was banned.  Why?  Cause I was disgusted by most of the wera guys humor about rape.
Ban or not, I would never post on the wera bbs again, so saying I asked back in is total BS.

Asked you to remove the post?  Not true!
Asked you to unban me? Not true!
E-mailed you threats?  Not true!

....Oh, I emailed you after G97 kept it going a few weeks later....I emailed you and told you exactly what happened to my wife and EXACTLY what I thought about you.
Never threatened, nor implied a threat against you.
You continue to dance and make sh*t up as this rolls along.
Everything you said above about me threatening you, asking to be unbanned, and removing the post is unequivically manufactered by you.

I need help?  Yeah, I do.  You seem to need it as well, since you are either dilusional or pathalogical.

With every post you make, you continue to turn my stomach.
You've gone from being a scab-picking prick with zero empathy, to being a liar....and boy are you fast, you accomplished all this before the holidays were over.
You should be proud, Mongo. Oh so proud of yourself.  You are quite a guy.
Thanks for bringing up horrible memories and ruining my Christmas.

Oh, and by the way....what was the reason you mentioned "rape" in this thread about a stolen logo?
...and all the other times you have joked about it (and me) on wera, since my ban?

I might be an idiot, but I would rather be that than what you have shown me what you are.

This is my last response, since I have a hard time with this topic and you are not worth the distress from the subject at hand.
Anyone wanna discuss it with me, about how funny it all was (like some of ya do on wera bbs), etc...talk to me at the track about it.

Good bye

If that was you, thank you SO much for all your help. You really cheered my sister up and I am extremely grateful for the time that you and your friends took to help us out. Sometimes I try to do everything by myself which is hard.
Anyway, my sister is still laughing about how you said you'd let her ride your bike  :P
Hope you had a good holiday!

Yes that was him. I was on the RC next to you guys.

K3. You are one hell of a guy!!! Unlike some of the others who have posted. And your book was pretty good to.

Speed try to find out when that movie will show. We will try and hook up after the new year.

take LOTS of pics - check with your 3ad or 2ad if that's permitted. the pix will always back up good stories that you will be able to tell.
