per Roadracingworld.com Clear Channel is selling CCS to Kevin Elliott.

Kevin cares about motorcycle road racing....
Clear Channel is focused on other things....
I see this as a positive for us, but it may be bumpy for a time.
;)
I am sure Kevin is working hard on getting everything together for the 2006 season. I think this will be a good thing for all involved. Congratulations Kevin!
I also see this as a positive and agree that things will probably be bumpy for a while as well.
I wish you luck Kevin.
Kevin is an honest and honorable man. Won't go into the whys, but I have some firsthand experience to know this. I hope he can make it work. He'll have all the support I can give.
"F-USA Series as it currently exists will disappear" holy cow!!!
I admit to not knowing Kevin that well and despite a few run ins in the distant past I can only see this as a positive thing. I have been talking until I'm blue in the face about a racer running an organization geared towards the real product, namely racers and the action on the track. I don't need to be catered to, but a little appreciation doesn't hurt (see : Jennings GP staff), I especially don't need to be treated as a burden (see : Roebling staff).
I only hope Kevin gets it right, purses draw riders and more riders with better competition draws fans and raises revenue. You shouldn't have to be Robert Jensen to make a few bucks at this. Good luck! (now go get Road Atlanta back!) ;)
WOW... this is huge.
and in a good sort of way...
The article doesn't specifically say that Kevin bought it, and declined to comment. Does anyone know for sure?
CCS has been 4sale 4ever!
Now how am I going to ever get a 1st place! :'(
does this mean my $50 certificate is now worthless?
Hey Jef4y, That .70 on the dollars sounds good right now.
Yea sellling my GTO Cert for $ .65 on the dollar :o
Matt, that cert has to be expired by now... You haven't won a race in a hundred years... ;)
Maybe this explains all the office moves :-/
Matt hasn`t won anything but a track day in two hundred years. ;D
So does anyone think there may not even be a 2006 season?
haha you guys are on crack, stop freaking out. There WILL be a 2006 season.
Actually, I think I heard that SVs will not be allowed to race in 2006 in the LW class..... Something about corner camping hazards.... :P
Hmmm... if there's a possibility for re-working the way things are set up, then this thread ought to be resurrected.

Who of the CCS elder statesmen would want to step up
and rep the masses we are to get somethings changed ?
Anybody ?
Now is the time to approach the subjects. Now is the time
to help. Change is good !
There will be a 2006, we are waiting for two contracts to come in before we announce the schedule.
Your certificates will still be good for race entries at CCS promoted events.
Purses do not mean more riders....I have the figuresd to prove that. Lower costs, customer service and a valuable product have more of an impact. (But costs always go up, so lets just say reasonable costs...LOL)
Sorry I can't comment more, just want to let you know things will be okay.

This all just sounds better to me. This is prob the best thing that can happen for us!!! Kevin is about racing! Kevin was a racer him self, I know he doesnt look like that now, but he was ;D So the way I see it is that he knows what we need cause he was once in our shoes or boots. But anyway this is awsome!!!
Yeh, I was a trim 250 when I raced, not the stately 300 I am now... ;D

Whipping dinasaurs across a rock quarry with Fred Flinstone doesn't count... ;D

Yeah, but the bikes weigh less too.
We'll call Ed K.
And Jenny Craig...
;D
